Centennial Building Project

Local Climate Action PlanAs part of a free program offered by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Ben Avon developeda greenhouse gas inventory and Climate Action plan. The plan includes strategies to minimizeour carbon footprint, improve community resilience, and preserve our quality of life. A working group ofBorough volunteers and residents drafted the ClimateAction Plan with technical assistance from the PADepartment of Environmental Protection. Results of acommunity survey and the draft plan are posted onbenavon.com. We welcome your input! Please contactCouncil Member Kara Roggenkamp,[email protected] with questions andfeedback.

In 2020, Ben Avon recognized the Borough Building's 100th year anniversary. With thismilestone, Borough officials and a group of residents have been working towards upgradingand ensuring the continuity of the Ben Avon Borough Building. The Centennial Building Project Committee is in the process of assessing thecurrent state of the building for potential renovations andupgrades. Since building needs have changed over theyears, input from the community to find desired amenitiesand activities for the building is encouraged. Communitymembers may do so by taking an online survey onbenavon.com under the project status section of BoroughHall Centennial Building Project. Please contact CouncilMember Rick Wagner, [email protected] for anyquestions.
