Behind the Why of todays entrepreneursImpact of advancement in consciousness on young entrepreneursand their start-ups. Hypothesis Paper.

Key words: young entrepreneurs, start-ups, consciousness.

    Abstract:

This hypothesis paper investigates the unknown relationship betweenentrepreneurship and advancement in human consciousness. The article raisesquestions about the practicalities around creating the environments fosteringhigher consciousness and their impact on emergence of a new generation ofstart-ups. One of the main hypotheses of the author is to bring more balance intoentrepreneurship, where the why gets at least the same attention as the howof entrepreneurship. suggestion is made that every act of consciousentrepreneurship should be based on actions emerging from the answers to thefollowing questions! What is my original intention? Why am I doing it? How do my actions want to serve the world Im living in? The article provides indication ofpossible tools in service of reaching more comple" levels of consciousness wheremore aware forms of entrepreneurship could emerge from.

humans into more comple" levels of consciousness from egocentric where

focus is completely on me, with the awareness being largely self-absorbed, to

conscious awareness, labelled ethnocentric, where individuals are able to begin

to develop a sense of self apart from others, with the centre of focus e"panded

from me to us, to the third stage of conscious development, named by

%ilbert worldcentric, where sense of identity e"pands from us to all of us

world-view or even shifting back to the reassuring simplicity of any earlier

    worldview 210#L, p. >/3.

The assumption is that e"posing people to developmental theory, to the notion

that humans evolve in stages, also helps make that leap. Torbert indicates that
