MOVIE POSTER REVIEW.THE BREAKFAST CLUB.

MOVIE COVER.

- The genre of the movie is comedy drama.-Five high school students from different walks of life endure a Saturday detention under a power-

hungry principal (Paul Gleason). The disparate group includes rebel John (Judd Nelson), princess Claire (Molly Ringwald), outcast Allison (Ally Sheedy),

brainy Brian (Anthony Michael Hall) and Andrew (Emilio Estevez), the jock. Each has a chance to tell his or her story, making the others see them a little differently -- and when the day ends, they question

whether school will ever be the same.

MOVIE REVIEW.

The location of this poster is of a classroom.

the frame of the image.

MISE EN SCENESETTING AND LOCATION.

The costume of each character is very stereotypical of the social group they belong to.

John wears layers of disheveled clothing that suit his tough, rebellious attitude.

Claire’s costume is very stylish for the era. This is because of her high social standing.

Allison dresses in dark colors and baggy shapes to cover up because she does not have much confidence in herself. Her clothing shows her shyness and portrays her as a ‘loner’.

Brian wears practical clothing that is not seen as trendy in the high school, which shows his dorky image.

Andrew’s clothes are very typical of a preppy, all-American high school jock. He wears his lettermen jacket as a status symbol to show his superiority among the other students.

Andrew wears a Nike sports shirt, which is a popular brand that also shows off his athleticism.
