As the sun gradually starts to regain its strength, we are once again

emerging from our warm cocoons. The wonderful smell of fresh spring

signals that a new beginning is upon us. Birds are chirping as the

crocuses stick their heads out and the cattle are grazing outside. A new

season has sprung. In the bedroom, warm flannels are making way for

light, fresh duvet covers. Blankets can been stashed away in the closet

and spring cushions are finding their way back onto our beds.

By combining home accessories with fresh new bed linens, you can

create an entirely new look in your home in no time. Bright new

additions include duvet covers with a tropical touch, such as Paradise

(page 106) from the Beddinghouse Studio collection. Surrounded by

green plants, natural wood and bright yellow and orange accessories,

you would think that you are in a rain forest.

A country design collection is among the new arrivals at

Beddinghouse. Attractive designs in natural tones and, here and

there, a touch of nostalgia. Combining romantic motifs with soft

colours and a vintage look. Also, we thought it was important to

bring trendy blue back. In the Nautic Dream pattern (page 94),

nautical elements are used in combination with romantic lyrics to

create the ultimate holiday experience.

This issue contains the extensive collection of Beddinghouse,

Beddinghouse Studio, Beddinghouse Ivory and Beddinghouse

Kids, as well as those of the Ariadne @ Home, Kardol&Verstraten,

Bluebellgray, Marjolein Bastin and Margaret Muir brands. We have

used our own label KAAT Amsterdam for the bedding decoration. It

is an accessory line that fits perfectly with our labels, but it also goes

beyond that. It also enriches the atmosphere in any living room or

bedroom.

In this issue, you will find the latest collections. The poster that is

enclosed is also something new, it provides an overview of the entire

collection that is currently available. It will help you to make decisions

and to create a good shelf plan.

De zon begint voorzichtig weer kracht te krijgen, we komen onze

warme cocon weer uit. Die heerlijke geuren van een frisse lente,

betekenen een nieuw begin. Vogels die fluiten, krokussen die

opsteken, de koeien gaan naar buiten. Een nieuw seizoen breekt

aan. In de slaapkamer maakt het warme flanel plaats voor een

licht fris knisperende dekbedovertrek. De deken kan in de kast,

de voorjaarskussens mogen weer op het bed.

Door het combineren van woonaccessoires met fris nieuw bedlin-

nen kan je in een handomdraai een heel nieuwe sfeer in huis

creëren. Heel vernieuwend zijn de overtrekken met een tropische

touch zoals Paradise uit de Beddinghouse Studio collectie (pagina

106). Samen met veel groene planten, blank hout en frisse gele en

oranje accessoires waan je je in een regenwoud.

Nieuw binnen de Beddinghouse collectie zijn dessins met een

landelijke twist. Sfeervolle dessins in natuurlijke tinten met hier

en daar een tikje nostalgie. Romantische motieven combineren

we met zachte kleuren en een vintage look. Belangrijk vonden we

het ook om de trendkleur blauw te laten terugkomen. In dessin

Nautic Dream (pagina 94) zorgen nautische elementen in combi-

natie met romantische teksten voor het ultieme vakantiegevoel.

In dit boek vindt u naast de uitgebreide collectie van Bedding-

house, Beddinghouse Studio, Beddinghouse Ivory en Bedding-

house Kids, de merken Ariadne @ Home, Kardol&Verstraten,

Bluebellgray, Marjolein Bastin en Margaret Muir. Voor het

verfraaien van de aankleding op de bedden hebben we ons eigen

label KAAT Amsterdam gebruikt. Een accessoire lijn die perfect

past bij onze labels, maar ook verder gaat dan dat. Het geeft een

verrijking in alle woon- en slaapkamers.

Binnen de nieuwe voorjaars collectie vinden frisse kleuren, maar ook kleine accenten zoals geel en rood een rol. In de katoen collectie speelt blauw een belangrijke rol. Bij het dessin Curaçao komen alle schakeringen van zeegroen

via grijsblauw tot aan indigo aan bod. Van dichtbij kun je zien dat er een spannend lijnenspel plaatsvindt op het overtrek, terwijl het op afstand bijna effen lijkt. Hierdoor is het met ontzettend veel stijlen en kleuren te combineren.

De verschillende dessins variëren van 100% katoen tot het meest zachte satijnen dekbedovertrekken. De verschillende manieren van drukken, fotoprint en digitale print geven een mooie verscheidenheid in de collectie.

The new spring collection comprises fresh colours, yet minor touches such as yellow and red can also be found. In the cotton collection, the colour blue plays a prominent part. In the Curaçao pattern, all shades of sea-green, from

grey-blue right up to indigo, are available. From up close, it is not difficult to notice the play of lines on the covers, whereas, at a distance, it almost appears even. That allows for various colours and styles to be combined.

The different patterns vary from 100% cotton to the softest satin duvet covers. The various printing methods, photo printing and digital printing provide a nice variety in the collection.

S T U D I OThe new collection of Beddinghouse Studio takes you on a road trip.

Big City Lover is a bold design with a a fun element. The black and white skyline makes this a cool contemporary design. Exciting City captures the feeling of a metropolis at night to your bedroom. Shanghai, a bustling city

with many impressive buildings that illuminate beautifully at night. The Paper Words design, composed of graphic elements, also fits

perfectly into this black and white atmosphere. We move from the city on to the tropical feel of the Paradise cover.

The jungle trend has already been fashionable for a while, but is now quite hip for in the interior. The summer atmosphere of Summer Nights, in

combination with bright colours, give this design a fresh look. The design is made of geometric shapes in conjunction with a tropical print, thereby creating an exciting whole. What is summer without festivals! The duvet cover Road Trip brings the ultimate summer feeling to your bedroom.

The Instagram-look takes you back to the wonderful cherished moments you enjoyed during your holiday.

De collectie van Ivory bestaat dit voor jaar uit luxe materialen en designs. Bij alle ontwerpen is er oog voor detail waardoor alles zeer verfijnd eruit ziet. Melville is uitgewerkt in mooi glanzend katoensatijn in

combinatie met katoen. Hierdoor ontstaat er een mooi contrast tussen glans en mat. Het dessin Turnberry is opgebouwd uit banen gevuld met prachtige grafische en natuurlijke motieven. Bloemen in grijstinten

lopen vloeiend over in verschillende slangen printen. Shine is een daarentegen een tijdloos klassiek dekbedovertrek. Deze prachtige witte satijnstreep is verrijkt met een luxe oxford rand aan de kussenslopen Een heel ander dessin is het overtrek Hartford. This year’s Ivory collection consists of luxurious materials and designs. All the designs bring attention to detail whereby making everything look very refined. Melville is finished in beautiful shiny cotton satin

combined with cotton. This creates a wonderful contrast between gloss and matte.The Turnberry design is composed of strips filled with beautiful graphics and natural motifs. Flowers

in shades of grey blend harmoniously into different snake prints. By contrast, Shine is a timeless classic duvet cover. A beautiful white satin stripe is enriched with a luxurious Oxford edge on the pillow covers.

The Hartford cover is a totally different design. The words ‘Love’, ‘Sunshine’ and ‘Flowers make me happy’ in beautifully decorative letters are complimented by lush elegant flowers. Scotney provides an

elegant and timeless duvet. The snake print finished in vertical strips gives the design a wonderful, classic look.

Bedrooms, bathroom, living room and a very large

Op zolder, met mijn tekentafel voor het raam, verlies ik mijzelf in de

mooie, bijzondere wereld van het illustreren. Het is heel arbeids-

intensief, maar zeer inspirerend om alles met de hand te tekenen, alle

figuurtjes uit te knippen en te plakken, om zo een heel eigen en

unieke wereld te creeëren.Het is een feestje en een ontdekkins-

tocht om oude kleding, gebruikte stofjes, draadjes en (afval)materiaal te hergebruiken in mijn illustraties.

In the attic, with my drawing table at the window, I lose myself in the beautiful, wonderful world of illustration. It is very labour

intensive, yet also very inspiring to draw everything by hand, then to cut and paste all the shapes to create a very personal and unique

world. It is a celebration and a journey of discovery to reuse old clothing, used fabrics, threads,

material and waste material in my illustrations.
