Before we know it the days will start growing shorter and fires will need to be lit in the open hearth again. This is the time when we start paying more attention to our homes and making our rooms as beautiful and comfortable as possible. In the fashion lines this autumn, we will see many soft fabrics with properties such as mohair. Flannel, the key fabric in our new collection, is a perfect fit for this trend. Our flannel duvet covers feature Norwegian and Scottish knit designs, which play a large role this season.

The digital prints in this autumn collection depict atmospheric images of nature. The layering creates attractive images and adds an extra depth to the designs. The Whitby design from Beddinghouse clearly features different images merged into one, creating a duvet cover with an incredibly intriguing design. This is a trend that can be seen in all our different collections. One of the colour palettes dominating this autumn is a complete range of shades of blue; from dark blue to light mint green. The alternation of closely related tones intensifies the prints on the covers, making them real eye-catchers.

As well as the extensive collections of Beddinghouse, Beddinghouse Studio, Beddinghouse Ivory and Beddinghouse Kids, this book also showcases the brands Ariadne at Home, Kardol & Verstraten, Bluebellgray, Marjolein Bastin and Margaret Muir. For the finishing touch in the styling, we used our own home accessory brand KAAT Amsterdam, which combines a range of many different international fashion trends.

Voor we het weten worden de dagen weer korter en gaat de open haard weer aan. Dit is het moment dat we weer meer aandacht krijgen voor ons huis en alle ruimtes zo mooi en behaaglijk mogelijk willen maken. In het modebeeld zien we dit najaar veel zachte stoffen met structuur zoals mohair. Flanel past ook precies in deze trend en voert de boventoon in onze collectie. Bij deze flanel dekbedovertrekken spelen op dessinniveau Noorse en Schotse breimotieven een grote rol dit seizoen.

Digitale prints laten dit najaar een sfeervol beeld van de natuur zien. De gelaagdheid zorgt voor een aantrekkelijk beeld en zorgt voor nog meer diepte in de dessins. Bij het dessin Whitby van Beddinghouse zijn duidelijke de verschillende afbeeldingen in één te zien waardoor het dekbedovertrek nog interessanter wordt. Deze trend zien we door onze verschillende collecties heen terugkomen.

Een van de kleurbeelden die dit najaar de boventoon voeren zijn een gehele range van blauwtinten; van donkerblauw tot aan mintgroen. Door de afwisseling van tonen die dicht op elkaar liggen worden, de prints van de overtrekken nog intenser en zodoende échte eyecatchers.

In dit boek vindt u naast de uitgebreide collectie van Beddinghouse, Beddinghouse Studio, Beddinghouse Ivory en Beddinghouse Kids, ook de merken Ariadne at Home, Kardol & Verstraten, Bluebellgray, Marjolein Bastin en Margaret Muir. In de styling hebben we voor de finishing touch gebruikt gemaakt van ons home accessoire merk KAAT Amsterdam, waarin vele internationale modetrends verweven zitten.

This autumn, Beddinghouse will again present a true winter collection. A large part of the collection consists of comfortable designs that will turn your bedroom

winter-proof instantly. Thanks to the knit patterns and woolly structures, the flannel designs not only feel comfortable, they also look very inviting. Who wouldn't want to

lie underneath the knitted print of the Edmonton? The Southampton design gives flannel a completely different look. This ultimate duvet cover was inspired by Nordic knit patterns.

In addition to the flannel designs, the collections also focuses on colours, such as blue grey and blue green. A true eye catcher in this colour palette is Calgary blue grey, with its hand-painted herringbone pattern. The rich colours of this duvet cover leave a deep

impression as a result.

Another significant trend that can be seen in the collection is the display of natural elements. Beddinghouse has repeated this in the Oakville and Whitby duvet cover,

in combination with soft layers of deep shades of blue.

This autumn, the Beddinghouse collection is full of high quality again; refined cotton, beautiful shiny cotton satin and lovely soft flannel.

Beddinghouse brengt dit najaar weer een échte wintercollectie. Een groot gedeelte van de collectie bestaat uit behaaglijke dessins waarbij je in één keer de slaapkamer winterproof maakt.

De flanel dessins voelen door breipatronen en wollen structuren niet alleen behaaglijk, maar zien er ook heel uitnodigend uit. Wie wil er nu niet onder de gebreide print van de Edmonton liggen? Bij het dessin

Southampton krijgt flanel een heel ander accent. Voor dit ultieme dekbedovertrek komt haar inspiratie uit Noorse breipatronen.

Naast de flanel dessins, ligt er in de collectie ook een accent op kleuren, zoals blauwgrijs en blauwgroen. Een echte eyecatcher in dit kleurbeeld is Calgary Blue Grey, met haar handgeschilderd visgraatmotief.

De diepe kleuren van dit dekbedovertrek laten hierdoor een echte indruk achter.

Een andere belangrijke trend die terug te zien is in de collectie is het weergeven van natuur elementen. Beddinghouse heeft dit in combinatie van zachte lagen met diepe blauw tinten terug laten komen in

het overtrek Oakville en Whitby.

De collectie van Beddinghouse bestaat dit najaar weer uit de hoge kwaliteiten; verfijnde katoen, prachtig glanzend katoensatijn en heerlijk zacht flanel.

This season, Beddinghouse Ivory presents a chic and warm winter collection. Duvet covers in beautiful colour tones such as bronze, grey and taupe rule the roost. One of the returning trends

of Beddinghouse Ivory this season is that of colour gradients and slightly faded patterns. The Berkeley design features two motifs blending into each other creating a playful effect. The Farington design features a beautiful slightly faded polka dot motif over silhouettes of flowers. Another example of a combination of motifs is the Nottingham design. This design

combines graphic, hand-painted and vintage motifs. The Clifford design is a perfect example of the pastel colour and nature trend. The subtle use of colours gives this design a serene look.

The Ivory Collection also presents the ultimate winter design, Moreland. A pattern of knitted strips, made of a lovely soft flannel.

Beddinghouse Ivory brengt dit seizoen weer een chique, warme wintercollectie. Overtrekken in prachtige kleurtinten zoals brons, grijs en taupe voeren de boventoon. Een trend die men dit seizoen terug bij Beddinghouse Ivory is die van kleurverloop en dégradé. Zo heeft het dessin

Berkeley twee motieven die in elkaar overlopen, waardoor er een speels effect ontstaat. Ook het dessin Farington heeft een prachtig dégradé effect van stipmotieven die over silhouetten van

bloemen heen zijn gezet. Een combinatie in motieven ziet men ook terug in het dessin Nottingham. Hier worden grafische, handgeschilderde en vintage motieven met elkaar gecombineerd. De pasteltrend vindt men terug in het dessin Clifford. Door het subtiele kleurgebruik heeft dit dessin een serene look. De Ivory collectie brengt ook een ultiem

winterdessin, Moreland. Een patroon van gebreide stroken, gemaakt van heerlijk zacht flannel.

S T U D I O

London, Paris, New York, they all feature in Beddinghouse Studio’s autumn

collection. Black-and-white photographs combined with texts represent the

commotion of the big city in The Streets design. The City Trip design features

graphic snapshots of these well-known cities. How to beautifully combine the

big city and the natural landscape is shown in the Winter Breeze design.

The way both blend into each other in the reflection of the water creates

a surprising play of colours. The Let it Snow duvet cover takes you to a romantic

winter setting in Antwerp and combines a black-and-white photograph with

elegant letters. In terms of colour and graphical forms a contrary work method

was used in the Once Upon A Time design. This design lets you dream away

under a starry sky.

Londen, Parijs, New York, ze komen allemaal langs in de najaarscollectie van

Beddinghouse Studio. Zwart-wit foto’s gecombineerd met teksten geven de

hectiek van de grote stad weer op het dessin The Streets. In het dessin City Trip

komen snapshots van deze bekende steden op een grafische manier terug.

De grote stad wordt in het dessin Winter Breeze juist gecombineerd met

natuurlandschap. In de spiegeling van het water komen ze samen in een

verrassend kleurenspel. Dekbedovertrek Let it Snow neemt je juist mee naar

een romantisch winterse setting in Antwerpen, hier wordt een zwart-wit foto

gecombineerd met sierlijke letters. In het dessin Once Upon A Time is er juist

op de tegengestelde manier gewerkt met kleur en grafische vormen. Bij dit

dessin is het heerlijk wegdromen is onder de sterrenhemel.

This autumn, graphic artist and illustrator Hanneke

de Jager will take us on a trip to see the hustle and

bustle of the city, above as well as below ground

level. Accompany her by train, bus or tube. Take

a look at the ships in the harbour on the 24-7 City

duvet cover as well as the aeroplanes and hot air

balloons in the sky. Young ballerinas can really let themselves go this winter. The Ballet design features little ballerinas in beautiful tutus practising

their enticing little steps. The littlest ones can indulge themselves in Gnomes this winter. Cheerful little gnomes bouncing on toadstools or playing with little animal friends from the forest.

The seasonal trends in fashion, interior and design all merge together in the autumn collection of Kardol & Verstraten. A beautiful shiny cotton satin was used to make the colours of the designs stand out even more. A true eye-catcher in this collection is the Parade design. A combination of triangles, diamond shapes and checks in various colours gives this design a powerful look. Colour hues play a similar important role in the Horizon design that truly represents the international landscape trend. The Glow design features a spectacular flower pallet. Through the use of a gorgeous layering technique and the deep colour tones the flowers form a night-time spectacle surrounded by a mysterious sheen. The Arboretum duvet cover features a large

picture of a sunny autumn day. Rays of sunshine peeping through the foliage light up a dreamy forest path. This entire design is covered by a grid of fine polka dots in a gradient of fading colour. The landscape trend also appears in the Arctic Forest design featuring a winter landscape. This theme is continued in the Frosted Floral flower design. A design featuring a beautiful layering of flowers in soft pastel hues. In contrast to all the other designs in the collection, the Honeycomb design is very trendy, metropolitan and a tad Scandinavian. The duvet cover features a honeycomb structure as a foundation for a special combination of small graphic patterns and design fragments.

In de najaarscollectie van Kardol & Verstraten komen de trends binnen mode, interieur en design van dit seizoen samen. Voor de collectie is er gebruikt gemaakt van prachtige glanzend katoensatijn waardoor de kleuren in de dessins nog beter tot hun recht komen. Een echt eyecatcher van deze collectie is het dessin Parade. Een combinatie van driehoeken, wybers en ruiten in een mix van kleuren geven dit dessin een krachtige uitstraling. Ook bij het dessin Horizon spelen kleurscharkeringen een belangrijke rol, de internationale trend van landschappen zie je in dit dessin terugkomen. Een spectaculair bloemenpallet vindt men in het dessin Glow. Door haar mooie gelaagdheid en diepe kleurtonen, vormen de bloemen een nachtelijk schouwspel met een mysterieuze glans. Het dekbedovertrek Arboretum laat een uitvergroting van een zonnige najaarsdag zien. Zonnestralen door het bladerdak beschijnen een dromerige bospad. Hier overheen loopt in een kleur verlopend raster van fijne polkadots. De landschapstrend komt ook terug in het dessin Arctic Forest, waar juist een winterland-schap centraal staat. In het verlengde van dit dessin ligt het bloemendessin Frosted Floral. Een dessin met een mooie gelaagdheid van bloemen in zachte pasteltinten. In tegenstelling tot alle andere dessins van de collectie is het dessin Honeycomb juist trendy, grootstedelijk en een tikje Scandinavisch. Het overtrek heeft een honingraatstructuur als basis voor een bijzondere combinatie van kleine grafische patronen en dessinfragmenten.

Op de redactie kunnen we niet kiezen, zo mooi vinden we

onze nieuwe collectie Ariadne at Home by Beddinghouse.

De frisse basis van You and Me en Nature past perfect bij

de huidige slaapkamertrend en het is verrassend om te zien

hoe beide dessins, geïnspireerd op de natuur, verschillende

smaken aanspreken. Met veel inspiratie hebben we

gezocht naar aansprekende details als oude labeltjes, mooie

illustraties en poëtische teksten, die het geheel zo eigen en

van nu maken. Maar ons hart gaat ook uit naar Recipe

of Love, een print van basic breiwerk, grappig uitvergroot

en met liefde overgoten. Over een ding zijn we het eens: de

nieuwe ontwerpen maken van de slaapkamer een heerlijke

droomkamer. Letterlijk en figuurlijk!

We of the editorial staff, were so impressed with our new

Ariadne at Home by Beddinghouse collection that we

simply could not choose a favourite. The freshness of

You and Me and Nature perfectly matches the current

bedroom trends and it is amazing how both designs,

inspired by nature, appeal to various tastes. With

inspired enthusiasm we searched for appealing details

such as old labels, beautiful illustrations and poetic

texts that make everything so typically now. Recipe of

Love, with its amusingly enlarged basic knit pattern and

covered in love, simply stole our hearts. We do agree on

one thing though; these new designs turn the bedroom

into a dream haven. In each and every way!

The inspiration for the brand, Margaret Muir, was born in 1909 and began what her grandson Henry Rawson and his creative wife Ivy have today developed into a beautifully unique bed linen company.

The company is small and dedicated, employing a handful of talented designers who draw together Ivy’s vision for the brand. Margaret Muir enjoys the freedom that comes with being an independent company enabling them to focus on producing simply exquisite bed linen.

The designs of Margaret Muir draw from the two distinct influences of Eastern culture and of nature. With their office and studio in Hong Kong, Henry and Ivy have drawn on the strong eastern culture around them, introducing a fresh, Zen nature to the brand. The theme of nature can be seen in the serene leaves and florals that are distinct and unique to the brand. The gracefulness of the natural world is combined with sophisticated injections of colour to create fresh and tasteful designs with every collection.

Marjolein’s passion for nature’s spectacle is of a universal

character that appeals to people everywhere. Her emotional connection

to everything that crawls, flies, grows and blooms in her garden

is clearly expressed in her work. For years these scenes have

been artfully adapted in cooperation with Beddinghouse to create

beautiful bedding products.

Marjolein’s passie voor het natuurlijke schouwspel is van een

Bluebellgray was founded in 2009 by Fiona (Fi) Douglas; her love of colour and all things floral inspired Fi to create a home textiles collection based on her beautiful hand painted designs. Fi’s signature vibrant and oversized watercolour blooms are now synonymous with the brand. Bluebellgray’s award winning designs quickly gained worldwide acclaim being stocked in some of the most beautiful department stores and boutiques around the globe.

Based in the bright and colourful bluebellgray studio in Scotland, Fi originally hand paints every bluebellgray design. Supported by her team she works with the best and most carefully selected range of manufacturers to make a truly quality, beautiful and unique product. State of the art printing techniques ensure the heart and soul of the original design is in every product and customers feel a real sense of the care and attention put into every bluebellgray design.
