2.To find the frustum of a Cone.

From the top of a solid cone, a small conical piece is cutoff. The remaining solid is called frustum of a cone.

Let’s denote the base radius, height and slant height of the small cone by ‘r’, ‘h’ and ‘l’ and those of the large cone by ‘R’, ‘H’ and ‘L’.

ie,

From the top of a cone, a smaller cone is cut off by slicing parallel to the base, then the base readius, height and the slant height of the two cones are proportional.

Through out the study the pupil acquire the knowledge about the frustum of a cone and the relation between the dimension of the original cone and the frustum of the cone.
