Personal Professional Development Diary
“Note – booking” is a term used to describe the process of creating a written and illustrated record of learning”
Personal Development Diary
Dear diary,
The other day I was talking to my mentor, Senora Guardiola, and telling her my recent frustration with lack of student initiative. It seems to be prime season for field trips, illnesses, assemblies, testing, and anything else that could possibly mess up my classroom routine ………………
Reflective Journala reflective journal, sometimes called a learning
log, is a personal record of your learning experiences.
A reflective journal is used to:
* Record the development of your ideas and insights
• Reflect upon the subject content and personal experiences
• Analyze your own learning in and for self development
……… I thought about this for a while and then decided to include some of the students in my presentation. Using photograph of their work on the Power Point slides, three of them explained how they had designed their work and what it was intended to show. The parents appreciated their presence and their humor and energy. Im sure we could do it better next time, but it was the first time students had spoken at such a meeting and certainly the first time our Department had featured in anything at the school. we felt real sense of achievement………….
