Elementary Sunday School Teachers Needed If you are interested or willing to help lead an elementary Sunday School class (1st-4th grade), we still urgently need a few volunteers to commit before August 10th. This volunteer position involves teaching approximately 18-20 Sundays out of the year (August to May) according to your personal schedule and availability. Fall 2014 Disciple Bible Study Classes Now Open for Registration DISCIPLE is a program of intensive, disciplined Bible study. Each study group is made up of 12-14 par-ticipants led by one or two facilitators. Groups meet weekly for 2.5 hours for 34 weeks. DISCIPLE I, the prerequisite for all other DISCIPLE Bible Studies, covers the entire Bib-lical story, from Genesis to Revelation. Subsequent studies take DISCIPLE graduates deeper into selected portions of Scripture. Service Opportunity at Better Decisions Many Brentwood UMC women have experienced first-hand the satisfaction that

comes from mentoring an incarcerated woman through the 8-week program with Better Decisions, a nonprofit organization that teaches decision-making skills to inmates at the Tennessee Prison for Women. Won’t you consider joining them this fall? The commitment involves: 1) attending the volunteer training weekend

September 13-14 (9-1 on Saturday, 1-6 on Sunday), 2) meeting with your inmate partner for one hour weekly during the weeks September 22 - November 10, and 3) attending graduation at 6 pm on November. 17. Register online at
