If you have not been there before, you are missing out! Boxwoods is

located in the Great Northern Town Center nestled inconspicuously

between Grand Junction Mercantile and Cobblestone Clothing. Once

inside this grand showroom, you will find nothing less than the finest

quality furnishings, magnificent décor and down to earth service.

Owner Julie Ludtke is a native of Montana and has called Helena home

for forty years. Prior to starting Boxwoods eight years ago, Julie was a

well-known design consultant here in town and her experience in the

industry has certainly paid off.

When you walk through the store, you find that there is so much

more than just furnishings. Beyond the hand carved armoires and

the magnificent upholstery, you see that there are also hostess

gifts, candles, diffusers, unique picture frames, botanicals, throws,

decorative pillows, lamps, glassware, rugs and even robes! The most

unique thing about Boxwoods is the staff. Brittany is the manager and

buyer for Boxwoods. She and five part time employees help Julie keep

the showroom in season with unique themes and new inventory arriving

daily. Design services are a large part of the business at Boxwoods.

This includes working with the existing items you have in your home

or design consulting including some new items. Julie and Brittany

pride themselves on being able to find that perfect piece to complete

any design. The majority of their merchandise is special order for

commercial and residential businesses but you can always purchase

right off the floor as well.

boxwoods

Boxwoods always stocks well-made textiles and products made in

the US and several items are even made locally. After years in the

industry, Julie has sought out only the best brands of products to

ensure the highest quality including Lee Industries, Mitchell Gold+

Bob Williams, Ralph Lauren Home, Drexel Heritage, Hancock &

Moore, Old Hickory Tannery, Peacock Alley, Pinecone Hill, Traditions

by Pamela Kline and even the most soothing bath and body

products by L’Occitane.

If you have time, stop into Boxwoods. Walk through the inspiring

store with no pressure sales and experience what they have to offer.

Be Local/Shop Local is all about promoting and supporting locally-owned, independent businesses. It’s about making your hard-earned money go further, fueling the local economy, and helping to preserve the unique character of our community. Make a difference. Shop local.
