Canada Games Social Media Strategy

How Does Can I Help?  

All the Canada Games ac9vi9es have been assigned a hashtag ie. #2011speed (list on the next slide, these are also posted in the venues)  By using this hashtag when you upload your videos to YouTube, your photos on Flickr or with your TwiIer tweets you will be contribu9ng to our Canada Games Live pages.  Each hashtag has its own webpage it feeds to, crea9ng a live account of the events as they unfold. 

Posting on Twitter

Login with your Twitter account, and use the identified hashtags for the sport/event within your tweets to have your tweets fed to the Canada Games Live pages. For example: My best friend is competing at #2011curling today.

Posting on YouTube and Flickr

Posting on YouTube Upload your video using your

YouTube account and tag them with the hashtags above to feed into the Canada Games Live pages.

Posting on Flickr Upload your photos with your Flickr
