    About us:

Birmingham Crime Diversion Scheme Ltd (BCDS) was founded in February

2011 by Clifton Cameron. Clifton had a goal in mind to become the first consultancy

service which specialises in organising workshops and programs to help prevent young

people from offending and to assist the rehabilitation of ex-offenders.

    Our approach:

BCDS programme consists of the following three stages:

The first stage: BCDS mentors ex-offenders to provide a personalized programme that

involves advising them and giving them guidance.

The second stage: BCDS strongly believe in training our service users by helping them gain

necessary skills to get them onto a placement scheme. At BCDS we work with various

    organisations in forming partnerships.

The final stage: BCDS service users obtain a placement scheme that will enable them to

    have better standard of living.

    Our Mission:

At BCDS our mission is to prepare our main services users (ex-offenders and young

offenders) through the relevant training to obtain a job placement that will provide them

with a better future for themselves. We at BCDS are very passionate in helping those who

have been through a struggle or have committed some sort of crime. We also do not

    discriminate our service users.

    Our new services:

BCDS is in the process of working with a various schools to provide students with

support in their school work and mentoring.

BCDS is also in the process of offering training service to various organizations, such

as a probation services, Youth Offending Team and the police that will enable them

to gain an understanding of how gang cultures work.

    Establishing a long lasting relationship

with the local Police Crime Commissioner

BCDS are currently working with the community of Highgate with local Police from Digbeth PoliceStation.

As part of our main projects, BCDS have been working to develop successful relationships withthe local police therefore we established working relationship with the commissioners. Bob Jonesand Yvonne Mosquito are committed to publicly engage and listen to the real experiences of

people on policing, crime and community safety.

I believe that West Midlands Police is one of the best forces in the world, I want to hear more

people speaking of West Midlands Police as "our" police service, "our police officers" and not just

"the" police. I believe this will create a better connection, improved relations between all sections

of the community and our police service. And when people feel proud of our officers, I believe they

feel more confident that our officers will do a good job. - said Ms Yvonne Mosquito.

We have included a picture of our Managing Director and the police crime commissioners:
