The Batsman tries to hit the tossed ball and efforts to score as much runs a s possible. The hit and run tactic is basically used for scoring. The batsman tries to hit the ball as far as he can. It is very difficult to score runs and only skillful batter can score. It is also a game of power hitting.

from the home plate to the fences in left and right field and 400 feet to centre. Many grounds dimensions vary according to its sizes.
