Aziz is featured as a leading silk in five categories and in three of these he has three
‘star’ ranking.
• Administrative and Public law – Aziz is ranked in the ‘star’ category – “He is a
fantastic oral advocate - a very powerful and compelling speaker, whether in the
courtroom or presenting to a meeting." "He's phenomenal and has a brain like ten
normal people's brains. A brilliant advocate and a brilliant lawyer."
• Civil Liberties – again Aziz is ranked in the ‘star’ category – “He is fantastic - super-concise and effective in court. He is amazingly good at compressing a huge
amount of material into a short amount of time.” “He gets to grips with the minutiae of a case, and will stand up in court, having mastered all the papers, and be an incredibly
powerful and compelling advocate.”
• Environment – “He is the go-to person for anything in relation to judicial review.”
“Commercial, down to earth and intellectually impressive.”
• European Law – “Intellectually, incredibly impressive.” “He is both down to earth yet highly commercial in his approach.”
• Immigration and Nationality – another area where Aziz is ranked in the ‘star’ category – “His drafting style is amazing; he drafts in a very straightforward and simple
way, covers everything and is straight to the point. Anyone can read it, and the judges
really appreciate this.”
