SECTION 13 SUPERSTRUCTURES AND DECKHOUSES 13.7 Deck Plating of Superstructures and Deckhouses 13.7.2 Exposed Deck Plating of Decks on the First and Second Tiers above the Freeboard Deck (2002) (Add text as follows:) The deck plating thickness is not to be less than obtained from the following equations. The required thickness is not to be less than 5.0 mm (0.20 in.). 13.7.3 Exposed Deck Plating on Third and Higher Tiers above the Freeboard Deck and Enclosed Decks within Deckhouses at all Levels (2002) (Add text as follows:) The deck plating thickness is not to be less than obtained from the following equation. The required thickness is not to be less than 4.5 mm (0.18 in.).
