ABOUTBallo was founded in Cape Town, South Africa in January 2013. We produce high quality, locally designed and crafted products. We also aim to make our products as friendly to the environment as they are to the consumer.

All eyewood frames and cases are handmade in Woodstock, Cape Town. All our woods are off-cuts from local furniture producers and 60% of the frame is recycled paper. Polarized lenses and spring hinges are standard and all our frames can be fitted with prescription lenses. All frames come with a 6-month warranty against manufacturing faults.

LENSES Polarised lenses are standard. We offer a choice of grey or brown.

Our frames can be fitted with prescription lenses- either by us or by an optomatrist of your choice.

WOODSAll woods used are off-cuts from a local furniture manufacturer.

Our 3 standard woods are Imbuia, Walnut and Cherry (top to bottom in image on right).

CASES Every pair of eyewood comes with hard and soft cases.

Our wooden cases are handmade and our microfiber pouches ensure your lenses are always clean.

The Barnes is a trendy, modern,unisex frame that finishes every style and look.
