In order for the Self Clean Board to know the position of the door latch, there are two sensor circuits in the Self Clean board. When the door is in the un-locked position, VC on the Self Clean board sends a voltage of between 8 - 18 volts DC to SENSOR 4. This lets the board know the door is UNLOCKED.

Click mouse to advance

8 -18 VDC

Page 27: BAKE BROIL - SELECT PROGRAM - CONV BAKE CONV BROIL SELF CLEAN On any diagram screen, double click any of the following components to bring you to a description.

When the door motor is advanced, SW1 on the door latch OPENS. At the same time SW2 and SW3 CLOSE. SW2 sends the 8 - 18 volts DC to SENSOR 3. The Door will now move to the lock position.

Click mouse to advance

The door motor has advanced and locked the door.

Page 28: BAKE BROIL - SELECT PROGRAM - CONV BAKE CONV BROIL SELF CLEAN On any diagram screen, double click any of the following components to bring you to a description.

With the door now locked, SW2 sends the 8 - 18 volts DC to SENSOR 3. When SENSOR 3 sees this voltage, it opens LS2 and M1 on the Self Clean Board.

Click mouse to advance

8 -18 VDC

Page 29: BAKE BROIL - SELECT PROGRAM - CONV BAKE CONV BROIL SELF CLEAN On any diagram screen, double click any of the following components to bring you to a description.

The board will now open LS2 to M1

Click mouse to advance

Line voltage is removed from the door lock motor and the door remains locked.

Page 30: BAKE BROIL - SELECT PROGRAM - CONV BAKE CONV BROIL SELF CLEAN On any diagram screen, double click any of the following components to bring you to a description.

At the same time that the Self Clean Board is activating the door lock mechanism, L1 also goes through contacts 5 and 6 on the selector to the Self Clean relay coil. The relay closes the N.O contact.

Click mouse to advance

The relay is now energized. When the oven reaches 600 degrees F this contact will assist in the heating process.

Page 31: BAKE BROIL - SELECT PROGRAM - CONV BAKE CONV BROIL SELF CLEAN On any diagram screen, double click any of the following components to bring you to a description.

When the door was locked, the Self Clean board also closed the N.O. contact T3 to T4. This circuit will supply line voltage to the cooling fan throughout the Self Clean Cycle.

Click mouse to advance

Page 32: BAKE BROIL - SELECT PROGRAM - CONV BAKE CONV BROIL SELF CLEAN On any diagram screen, double click any of the following components to bring you to a description.

T1 to T2 was also closed when the door locked . This allows voltage to flow through SW3 on the Door Lock mechanism. Then it travels through the N.O. contact in the thermostat. Then through Selector switch contact 4 and 8 and finally entering the DSI module #7 terminal.

Click mouse to advance

Click mouse to advance

When the oven temp is at 575°the Auto Reset will open. If the Self Clean is switched off and the Auto Reset is open, the door will not open. When the temperature drops below 575°the Auto rest will close and allow voltage to flow to LS2

Page 36: BAKE BROIL - SELECT PROGRAM - CONV BAKE CONV BROIL SELF CLEAN On any diagram screen, double click any of the following components to bring you to a description.

Click mouse to advance

When the oven temp is at 600°the oven thermostat will switch from the C and N.O contact to the C and N.C. contact. Voltage now flows through Selector contact 3 and 9. Then it travels through the N.O. (Now closed) contact in the relay. From there to the DSI module #6 for the Bake burner. The Bake burner ignites. The oven will continue to increase in temperature until it reaches 825°

Page 37: BAKE BROIL - SELECT PROGRAM - CONV BAKE CONV BROIL SELF CLEAN On any diagram screen, double click any of the following components to bring you to a description.

When the oven reaches 825°Contact 1 and 2 in the thermostat opens.

Click mouse to advance

With the contact open, voltage no longer flows to the DSI module. The Bake valve opens and the unit stops heating. When the temperature drops, the contact in the thermostat will close and the DSI will re-ignite the Bake. This cycling will occur for 3 hours.

Page 38: BAKE BROIL - SELECT PROGRAM - CONV BAKE CONV BROIL SELF CLEAN On any diagram screen, double click any of the following components to bring you to a description.

At the end of the 3 hr clean cycle, T1 to T2 and T3 to T4 open. With T1 and T2 open, voltage is no longer sent to the DSI module so the burner shuts off. The cooling motor will still operate with T3 and T4 open because of the cooling fan thermostat. The oven begins the cool down cycle.

Click mouse to advance
