One day we began to dream; ours were dreams filled with worlds of excellence where all our wishes of exploring and enjoying the most amazing places on Earth would come true. Dreams that would eventually become the happiest and most incredible holiday experiences we could ever have imagined.

We set off to discover the paradisiacal spots we knew had to exist somewhere, creating, almost without realising it, the first Bahia Principe experience in history – our history.

It was a journey that would set the course of our future. A turning point when we decided to transmit our experience to everyone capable of truly appreciating it, respecting the unique local colour and culture of these much-loved spots - their natural treasures, their wealth of flora and fauna set against breathtaking environments – and at the same time aware of the footprints left by mankind, demanding both care and conservation.

Following this flood of sensations and impressions, fuelled by a renewed desire to build up a leading company based on values of openness and unity and its internal and external clients, we drew up the mission and vision for our family: to offer millions of travellers the exclusive services available at our hotels and to share their hopes and dreams.

We pick up on the recommendations and suggestions we receive, working to improve and enhance them before returning them to society through our highly demanding, yet equally gratifying, teamwork; we move from the domestic to global and back again.

Our history now stretches back almost forty years. Our sensations today are of immense joy and gratitude as we observe how year after year BAHIA PRINCIPE receives the top awards from the international tourist sector, undoubtedly the result of the hard work and professionalism of everyone that makes up the company.

Located on the north coast of the Dominican Republic, Río San Juan will seduce you for a host of reasons.
