    The inner facade is composed of two bodies. The first is built by the vainly access arch

    and slightly flared. The second has three arches forming a balcony which was on theparapet of communication between the two towers. The central arch, which is larger,gives way to a vault decorated with coffered flare, dominated by a niche typebalustered Renaissance pilasters, segmental arch and triangular pediment containing theimage in the round of "Our Lady of the Angels" flanked by two angels in relief andsymmetrical. This facade, as we contemplate today is the product of a very lucky notcompleted restoration in 1960 by local architect was Francisco Vaca Morales.La Puerta de Palma was State Prison in the early nineteenth century.
