ABOUT THE PROGRAM The Bachelor of Science in Finance program instills in students the importance of resolving and maintaining legal and ethical issues, communication challenges, and managing technology challenges. Students will gain skills in business fundamentals as well as knowledge in the general finance field. Curriculum subjects include sustainable value, personal finance, international economics and finance, investment management, financial accounting, microeconomics, managerial accounting, managerial finance, and statistics within the core curriculum. ACCESS THE WORLD Internships, study abroad, and co-curricular opportunities All Rivier business students are required to fulfill at least one internship out of the many opportunities the University has to offer—such as sales, financial planning, retail, and marketing internships at a number of reputable local companies, which vary each semester. We also offer a sophomore-level internship option to better prepare our students for the real world. Students also have the opportunity to become a member of the Rivier University Division of Business Student Association (DOBSA). DOBSA is led and managed by students, and a business faculty member serves as an advisor who provides guidance and advice for the club. Students are strongly encouraged to participate in various study abroad opportunities ranging from faculty-led, weeklong study tours to entire semesters spent at a university abroad.
