SUMMARY OF THE MANAGEMENT TEAM PROFILE
MANAGEMENT: The management of Bab Ishtar Group has evolved over the last years as the company has hired seasoned professionals with international experience. The General Manager Mohamed Abbas was hired from the Saudi Bin Laden Group. The business is overseen by Mr. Ali Al Thawadi who formerly worked with HSBC Bank in the capacity of Trade Finance and Credit Manager. In addition to a competent management team, the company has a very experienced and influential board of directors which have been provided above. A brief bio of the senior management follow:
GENERAL MANAGER Architect Mohamed Abbas Radwan Hussein is the General Manager for Bab Ishtar. He reports directly to the Chairman of the Board. He holds an Architectural Engineering degree from Alexandria University of Egypt. He is an Egyptian national and has been with Bab Ishtar since May 2006. He initially joined as Technical Office Manager and but within one year was promoted to General Manager. He has over 15 years of experience working with the largest construction and technical engineering firms in the region. This includes 9 years at Bin Laden Group, where he went through their management training program and before leaving was the technical and contracting manager. In addition to Bin Laden Group, he was at Investment Company for Production and Manufacturing, which is a part of the Bin Laden Group of Companies. At Bab Ishtar, he has all the division heads reporting to him as well as the shared services functions. His responsibilities include providing and managing the strategic growth and direction for the company, delivering profitable results against budgets and working to grow the strategic partnerships with clients .
GROUP LOGISTICS MANAGER Mr. Maher Abdulsalah is the Group Logistics Manager at Bab Ishtar. He reports in directly to the General Manager and has dotted line responsibilities to support each of the revenue generating divisions. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Amman in Jordan and has been a member of the American institute of certified accountants since 2003. He is a Jordanian national of Palestinian origin and has been with Bab Ishtar as Finance Manager since August 2005. He is responsible for strategic financial planning, internal audits group, preparing accounts and providing the managing director with clear visibility into the company cash flows and projections targets achievements. Prior in joining at Bab Ishtar Group, Mr. Abdulsalah was the head of Accounts Management at Eid Real Estate Company in Qatar. He has over 10 years experience in the finance function.
EQUIPMENT & SERVICES MANAGER Engineer Ibrahim Abdul Al Motagaly Mohammed is the Equipment and ServicesManager. He holds a Bachelors of Science degree in mechanical engineering from Suez Canal University in Egypt. He is Egyptian national and has been with Bab Ishtar from early 2008. Prior in joining at Bab Ishtar, Engineer Ibrahim was head of the equipment maintenance department in Production and Manufacturing arm of the Saudi Bin Laden group. He has over

19 years of experience working in the equipment maintenance department of construction contracting and manufacturing companies. At Bab Ishtar, his responsibilities are to ensure that all power equipment is proactively serviced and maintained. This is to maximize the efficiency from the asset base and ensure that they are sweated as effectively as possible with minimal down time and disruption to the business .
ELECTRO MECHANICAL DEPARTMENT MANAGER
PROJECTS’ MANAGER Engineer Haydar Saleem Theabb Al Abbas is the Projects’ Manager in construction division. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Building and Construction engineering from University of Technology in Baghdad. He is an Iraqi national with over 21 years of experience in managing complex multiple component construction and contracting assignments. He has all the project managers and supervisory engineers reporting to him. Engineer Haydar joinedBab Ishtar in March 2000 as Site Engineer for contracting projects. He is responsible for overall project management; this includes procurement, pre construction, contract documentation, contract administration, project hand over and post construction servicing. Prior to joining Bab Ishtar Group, Engineer Haydar was responsible for multi use commercial and private construction development projects in Iraq and Jordan. These works included as Construction Manager at Nasser AL Hussainy Company in Jordan, as Project Manager for Ramadan Mubarak Company and started his career as Site Engineer in 1987.
CEMENTATION PLANT MANAGER
Engineer Ahmed El Husseini Said Mohamed is the Manager of the Electro Mechanical division. He holds Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Power Engineering from Mansoura University in Mansoura City, Egypt and having a special course in Control (PLC and SCADA). He is an Egyptian national with over 6 years’ experience in Electro-mechanical. He joined the Bab Ishtar Electromechanical on September 8, 2008 and being in-charge in management, supervision, implementation of electromechanical works i.e. plumbing, drainage, HVAC, Electrical, Fire Fighting and others related works for Residential and Commercial Buildings of company’s undergoing project. He started work in Arab Contractors as a Piping, Plumbing and Fire Fighting Engineer conducting of the fire fighting network, water supply network and sewage network.
Engineer Tarek Mohamed Said Abouzaid is the cementation plant manager. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Geology from Alazahar University in Egypt. He is an Egyptian national with over 26 years in manufacturing. His experience in the cementation products manufacturing includes work in quality control, production, management, tooling erection and supply chain. Mr. Tarek has accepted the position and joined at Bab Ishtar on April 30th 2009. He joined from Orascom Construction in Algeria, where he is the manager of the readymix and concrete manufacturing operations. Prior to Orascom, he worked in Egyptian branch of the Saudi Bin Laden Group in their production manufacturing division as manager. In his 26 years of cementation products manufacturing experience, he worked in the Quality Control function for Sofana Readymix Company, as Quality Control Engineer at Saudi Bin Laden Group ( AL Masajed Projects ) and Material Engineer for the reconstruction of the two holy mosques on behalf of their custodians. He started his career as a concrete laboratory engineer at S.G.E Construction Company working on the Cairo Metro project .

HR MANAGER
Engineer Nestor Castillo is the Quality Assurance and Quality Control Manager at Bab Ishtar Group. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Nueva Ecija University of Science & Technology in Cabanatuan City, Philippines. His key responsibilities are to review all plans and specifications to make sure that all works, materials and procedures are done in accordance with QCS. These includes working closely with site engineers and sub contractors to ensure that all activities and products undertaken reflect the specification committed to on the master plans and bid documents. Engineer Castilo’s group tasked provides a monthly report on the monthly basis on quality defects and deficiencies identified and actions undertaken to correct and prevent the quality shortcomings. He has 22 years of experience as Civil Engineer and Coordinator at Jaber Trading & Contracting Co., Civil Engineer and QA/QC Engineer at Shibh Al Jazirah Contracting Co. Ltd. in KSA, Civil Engineer and QA/QC Engineer at China Geo Engineering Corp. in the Philippines and works as Civil Engineer in Local Governments at City Engineers Office in Cabanatuan City, Philippines.
TRAVEL DEPARTMENT MANAGERMr. Mohamed Abdel Latif is the Manager of Travels division. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Law from Mansoura University , Egypt. He is a Jordanian National who has over 25 years of vast experience in Travels and Tourisms businesses. His enthusiasm, dedication and expertise in the field, let the company appointed him to manage the Bab Ishtar Travels branch since it’s started on June 2011. His key role as Manager includes oversees sales development and reaching the company’s strategic goal. Aside from that, he is being in charge on daily operational activities and financial management in Travels division. His experiences were way back since 1988 in Islam Co. Tours a family owned travel business in Egypt as a Reservation Staff and after few years became Supervisor in Reservation Department and Marketing for Tourism Packages, then became Manager in Al Mansoura Branch, and Marketing Manager in Main Office at Cairo and later on became an Executive Manager of 5 Branches of the company up to 2004. Afterwards, he ventured in Qatar and joined in Al Furqan Travels in 2004 until 2011.
Engineer Julito M. Momangan is the Safety Manager at Bab Ishtar Group. He holds a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from Adamson University in Manila Philippines. He is a Filipino national with over 25 years in Safety Management, Safety Training and Health Awareness implementation in the construction industry. At Bab Ishtar Group, Engineer Julito is responsible for the inspection of the site and ensure conformance to the Health awareness, safety enforcement and sanitation standards. He oversees the group of engineers which undertake daily inspections and prepare safety management reports for each construction site. Engineer Julito reports directly to the Management Representative and h e is responsible in identifying the potential dangers and secures the exposure at each site before an accident occurs. He is responsible for the implementation of a zero tolerance policy on safety violations for all direct employees and sub contractor labor on BIG work sites.
Mr. Essam Mounier Yousseff is the HR Manager at Bab Ishtar Group . He holds Bachelor of Science in Commerce degree from the University of Cairo. He has 17 years of experience in Administration and HR. He was appointed HR Manager in 2007 and responsible for organizational planning, job structure design, HR Policies and maintaining the employee benefits programs. Since joining, Mr. Yousseff has implemented standard in house training programs and merit based competitive pay incentives. He reports directly to the General Manager.

Bab Ishtar made the studies to buy this company to complete its services chain for the construction field and the merging was done by June 2007 the new company’s name was changed from Qatar Gulf to Q-Gulf Electromechanical Company.
Qatar Gulf was a company established in 2004 with a yearly turnover of 4 million Qatari riyals.
Then, in 2011, the company decided to change the company name into Bab Ishtar Electromechanical so it would be in uniform to the chain group of companies. In comprise to the change is the eagerness to strive to the greater extent and attainment on expansion of the services.
After becoming a member of Bab Ishtar Group of companies the studies were made to concentrate on the existing activities as well as to look for new opportunities.
By strenuous effort in facing the challenges on the expansion of the services and being committed on firmly serves in accordance to the standardization implemented by Ministry of Qatar, the company has been recognized by Qatar Civil Defense and KAHRAMAA as a Grade A in electromechanical range.
