Farewell reception for Jake A reception will be held for Jake Heidel after
each Mass next weekend, January 24-25,
to say thank you and good luck. Please join us
in the cafeteria to wish him well as he leaves
St. Bernadette’s staff.
Lost and found If you lose an item, be sure to check the lost and found in the ushers’
room. If you are unfamiliar with the ushers’ room, you can ask any
usher, greeter, membership volunteer, or parish staff for help. Items
are often found when the church is cleaned and most of them are put
in that lost and found. However, some items are kept in the parish
office, such as watches, jewelry, cell phones, et cetera. We currently
have a hearing aid and a watch in the parish office, so if you lost
either of these items, please give us a call. Please Pray for Our Long-term Sick:
All those listed in the
Book of Assembly Prayer

Granville Interfaith needs help The Granville Interfaith office is looking for
volunteers. Are you able to drive an older adult to a
medical appointment, take someone grocery
shopping, or be a friendly visitor to a shut-in senior?
Older adults living alone in our community also need
help shoveling snow. Please contact Tammy at the
Interfaith office, 414-353-0731, to volunteer.
Archdiocesan Respect Life Mass On Thursday, January 22, Bishop Richard Sklba will preside at the
Archdiocese's observance of the National Day of Penance and Prayer
for Life. The Respect Life Mass will be held at St. Leonard Parish
(W173 S7743 Westwood Drive, Muskego). Saint Leonard’s Christian
Mothers group will lead the Rosary for Life at 6:30PM, followed by
Mass at 7:00. A reception will follow.
Come join in fellowship with Catholics from around the Archdiocese
as we pray in penance for violations to the dignity of the human
person committed through acts of abortion, and for the full
restoration of the legal guarantee of the right to life.
New membership registration will
be held after each Mass next weekend. There will be
a table in the gathering area where you can sign up. We
will be pleased to have you join our parish family!
Celebrating Catholic education
from coast to coast National Catholic Schools Week is the annual
celebration of Catholic education in the United
States. This year it starts on Sunday, January 25,
and runs through Saturday, January 31. The
Archdiocese of Milwaukee’s 114 Catholic schools
typically observe it with Masses, open houses, and
other activities for students, families, parishioners,
alumni, and community members. Visit
schools.archmil.org to discover our communities of
faith, knowledge, and service—we guarantee it is an
education you can have faith in!

In today’s first reading, we hear Samuel respond
eagerly, “Here I am!” each time the Lord calls him.
May we, too, be listening for the call of God
in our lives and be ready to say like the psalmist,
“Here am I, Lord; I come to do your will.”
See 1 Samuel 3:4; Psalm 40
