THINK DIFFERENT

Steve jobs was the co-founder of the company named Apple company which initiated from a small garage as a computer maker. What he always knew within self that he wanted to change the world. As a leader one should have a fixed centre of locus which would lead to an organization great, cause this helps a leader never

to deviate from his focus and goals. He made lot of contribution by making his product so simple which can be easily used by people.

For example- The Xerox mouse had three buttons and cost $300; Jobs went to a local industrial design firm and told them that he wanted a simple, single-button model that cost $15 only.He also came up with the idea of single button in iPod due to which the device would gradually power down if it wasn’t being used and would spring to life when reengaged.

People generally assume that transforming companies require larger than life leaders-big personalities who make headlines and become celebrities. Some kind of thing did happened with Jobs, publically and he did was considered very harsh and stubborn CEO who was not listening to anyone, and was very rigid to move. These public admired things did not happen privately with these personalities, intellectual people like these are little shy with opening up, only get comfortable with friends and are self centered as an artist who , want to make history and to be remembered forever. Any great leader somewhere had a deep belief either a religious or some motivating personality in mind and in case of Jobs we witness that he became deeply religious after being dropped out of college as a drug addict. This very belief of him turned his innovating talent into a mature leadership.

In 1996, Harvard Business School conveyed a survey in which they monitored more than 1000 companied which were already performing good and earning huge profits ie.. had a stock market ratio of 2.8:1 in general market but what they found was the companies which moved from good to great had one thing in common, a self believing and different path moving leader as the head of the company.

According to Harvard Business School Research there are two types of great personalities which are born with the talented seeds within and others whose seeds begin to blossom with some kind of the life experience. In case of Steve Jobs, his seeds of great personality developed when he was dropped out of the college as a drug addict and left everything and went to India to regain spiritualism.

The leadership qualities that we possess are team spirit, self-confidence, good communication skills, listening to ideas and needs of my team members, boosting the morale of my team members on their success ,appreciating them for their good work and criticize them when they are wrong and giving them new ideas about innovation.

The qualities that we would like to inculcate are adapting myself with change in technology and making myself familiar with situations and decisions involving risks. Hence, concluding all we could wish for ourselves is to be a such leader whom people/employee choose to follow cause “true leader works with his presence not by his influence.
