Edward Zia is the hardworking Director and Owner of EA.Being the proud owner of his business, he goes the extra mile to ensure his clients are happy and achieving great results from the Mentoring Services.Edward has worked for over a decade in a range of key marketing and management roles. His experience ranges from small to large corporate experience, but after years in this field he has fallen in love with small businesses.Since the start of his marketing career in his early 20’s - Edward has coached and mentored a range of clients from industries covering health, food & beverage, retail, hospitality, automotive and professional services.Edward has a wide range of qualifications including a Bachelor of Applied Science, Graduate Certificate in Management and a Graduate Diploma in Marketing. Edward has an Associate Fellow with the Australian Marketing Institute and a Certified Practising Marketer (CPM license #32302). Strategic Advice is usually discussions and work, based around high level items such as business direction, brand values, pricing and product definition. Tactical generally relates to the details such as wording, social media platforms, marketing channels and business mindset. Generally most personal engagements start off at the strategic level and work to the tactical level as things progress and the direction & brand are clearly defined and established.

Personal mentoring is a connection of minds and everyone is different in their needs and requirements. We find most clients prefer a level of ‘semi-structure’ the sessions in that the key things are covered, but there is room to cover current issues, identified aspects and also respond to anything that can happen in between sessions. Some clients like plenty of detail, whereas some prefer to keep it as open as possible. Edward is more than happy to work with clients to keep the balance as suited to the client as possible.Edward will do his best to judge the client’s needs and provide advice accordingly – you are welcome to express which best works for you, so he can provide you with the best customized service possible.

Excellence Above’s packages and pricing are developed for long-term relationships. For success of both parties, Edward is selective as to who works with to make sure it’s a positive and profitable relationship for both involved. As part of the performance promise offered, Excellence Above DOES NOT engage in contracts that lock in clients. This is done for a range of ethical and commercial reasons to support Excellence Above’s promise and ethical standards based on the logic:

“We promise to deliver and we demonstrate that by having NO lock in contract whatsoever. We believe that clients should decide the length of the relationship to suit their own commercial needs based on their personal circumstances”Having said that, we love long-term relationships with clients and work as hard as possible to deliver a platinum service and keep clients with us. Edward and Excellence Above are here for the long-haul!

When we first commence work with clients the early part of the relationship is quite often focused on strategy, planning and development.Once we work through this phase, it’s about setting plans against time and implementing activities. Then it’s a matter of doing all the hard work and working through the process, detail, training, ‘testing & measuring’ then tweaking plans and moving forward.The time frame varies based on the business, objectives, frequency of engagement and commitment (however quite often in our relationship we aim to work through the strategic phase in 2 – 4 months).Depending on the nature of the meeting, we generally write up an email with actions and details which serves as a guide and reference document for subsequent meetings (be it requirements on both sides, actions and agenda items for the next session).

Terms and Fine Print

• Excellence Above Coaching (‘EA’) is a marketing mentoring service that is designed to assist business owners, directors and managers achieve their goals. EA mentors do their best at all times in understanding clients unique situations and goals – with the focus on providing the best possible advice at all times.

• The EA mentors are an external party to the client and it’s critical that the client understands they are completely responsible for assessing any advice given in accordance with their own situation and objectives. Clients are completely responsible for outcomes gained as a result of using the services of EA coaching.

• For any cancellations we require at least 24 hours notice. Cancellations within 24 hours may be subject to full payment. For consulting relationships, payment terms are strictly 14 days from the date of invoice and dishonour fees may be charged in the case of rejected direct debit payments (e.g. in the case of low funds). Services may be suspended until payments are made to EA. We charge on a monthly basis (generally at the end of the 1st Week of the month for services incurred the previous month).

• We can also build custom mentoring & consulting packages to suit the specific requirements and budgets of larger clients. This can include anything from marketing consulting services right through to training workshops. We can provide our services through a range of mediums including face to face, phone, email, webinar / online meetings and Skype.



Upon commencement with personal mentoring clients, we administer an extensive ‘awesome business & marketing diagnostic’ to help understand the clients goals, strengths and area’s for improvement – ensuring that all areas are covered. Edward Zia is a sales & marketing professional with extensive entrepreneurial, marketing and people management experience.He will automatically state his own personal limitations and can offer referrals to some of his trusted friends & business partners for areas outside of his own specialty (e.g. professional insurance, accounting, human resources, graphic design, website construction etc).Before you meet with Edward for your first session, we advise that you work through the following questionnaire.You are welcome to email answers through to Edward ([email protected]) to help him prepare so he can best help you.
