Why we do it

• Visually impaired, hard of hearing and deafblind people often find it difficult to manage everyday tasks like using public transport, shopping, or attending appointments. A few simple adjustments to the way we work would

make all of these everyday events more accessible.

• At Hearing and Sight Solutions we believe that everyone has a right to full social inclusion. We are committed to providing training that will make

life better for people with sensory impairments.

What you will gain

• Staff and volunteers who attend an awareness seminar will learn how sensory impairment affects the individual

• communication• access to information• daily living skills• getting out and about

emotional impact effect of some common eye and ear conditions effective ways of providing support

What it costs

• Hearing and Sight Solutions recognises that the financial climate is difficult for care providers and has an affordable and simple price structure. Our aim is to ensure that as many care staff as possible receive excellent training at a low cost. half day events: £250 plus pre-agreed travel costs

full day events: £450 plus pre-agreed travel costs

two day short course: £800 plus pre-agreed travel & subsistence costs

five day short course: £1750 plus pre-agreed travel & subsistence costs
