This is where we all went for a swim to practice the new skills we learnt in our 5 weeks of swimming les- sons. Thank you to all the parent helpers who came on the day, we wouldnt have been able to go without you Dear Parents/Carers, It has been my pleasure to work with your children and the wonderful staff here at Serviceton South State School as the Principal for the last fortnight. It has certain- ly been a busy few weeks with Report Cards, Positive Behaviour Day, Awards Ceremony, Year 6 Graduation and trip to Movie World , end of year Concert and class parties. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time learning how rich the culture is at Serviceton South State school. You are certainly fortunate to have such dedicat- ed teachers that genuinely care about the education and well being of each and every child in the school. This is evident by the hours they keep to ensure that everything is organised to make the end of year special. Thank you to all of the staff for going the extra mile. I would also like to thank you for your on going support of the staff and students. It is your commitment to wanting your child to receive a quality education in part- nership with the staff that will bread success for each student to be the best they can be. At this time, I would like to wish each and every one you a happy and safe holi- day. A special farewell to our Year 6 students off to high school who take with them our well wishes. Kind Regards Mrs Sharyn Brown Acting Principal On Friday the 2nd of December, Serviceton South State School celebrated their last Positive Behaviour Day for 2016 with a giant inflatable water slide. Student's who received their 25 gems had the opportunity to partake in this very exciting day where they raced their peers down a dual lane inflatable slide. Student's were overwhelmed with joy as they ran, jumped and slid along the 10 metre slide, weaving past inflatable vines that sprinkled water and racing to the finish line where they were stopped by a giant inflatable wave. The hot and sunny weather made it a perfect day and a wonderful send off to what has been a fabulous year. Dux Award 2016 Paris Nguyen
