Weekend Activities

Dear Parents and Guardians

We would like to take this opportunity to introduce the programme of weekend activities planned for the Autumn Term. This will give you an opportunity to discuss the activities with your daughter and decide which of them she would like to participate in.

Students in Upper Three to Upper Four (Years 7-9) are expected to participate in at least one activity each weekend they are in school. Students in Lower Five and above (Years 10-13) are encouraged to participate regularly in activities.

Some of the activities form part of our UK cultural programme. New international students are expected to participate in at least one of these cultural trips each term. These are indicated on the sign up form.

A few of the activities in the programme have a cost element and need to be booked in advance. As a matter of course we advise you of any activity that will cost £20 and over. These require your approval beforehand, to confirm that you accept the cost being added to your school account. Once your approval has been given, your daughter is committed to that activity and you will normally be expected to pay the cost if she subsequently withdraws.

Thorpe Park

Thorpe Park is one of the UK’s most thrilling theme parks with some of the highest and fastest rollercoasters in the world.

There are rides to satisfy thrill seekers; including ‘beyond vertical’ drops, launches of 0-80mph in under two seconds and 4.5g loops.

If you need a rest from the rides, you can try your hand at carnival games, get a bite to eat or relax on the banana boat.

Hampton Court Palace, Boat Trip & Shopping

Windsor Castle & Shopping

Windsor Castle is one of the largest and oldest inhabited castles in the world. A Royal home and fortress for over 900 years, the castle remains a working palace today. As a visitor you will be able to see the magnificent State Apartments, decorated with some of the finest works of art in the Royal Collection, Queen Mary’s doll’s House, conquer the tower and see the the Great Kitchen.

After viewing one of the Queen’s main residences you will get the chance to browse the shops of Windsor Town.

Discos

Clothes Show Live

This year Clothes Show Live is celebrating 25 years as the ultimate girls day out.

This is a five day fashion festival, packed with top fashion and beauty brands to shop from, hair and beauty demonstrations, makeovers, experts, trend reports, celebrities and next generation talent.
