WELCOME TO WORSHIP SERVICE IN VIBORG INTERNATIONAL PENTECOSTAL CHURCH

Every Sunday you have the opportunity to participate in the worship service in Viborg International Pentecostal Church. The first Sunday of the month is communion service. It is also this Sunday we take time for baby dedications, youth blessings and other special occasions. This autumn we have the joy of having child dedications in in August, September and November. The first Sunday of the month there is not children’s church, and the children will participate in the service. We will be looking forward to Sunday the 7. September, when Stella Christtreu visits VIP, and to Sunday the 5. October, where Hannah and Egon Falk is back in VIP and will be with us both in the morning and afternoon services. We will also be looking forward to a baptism service. The music service, which is the first Sunday of advent, will be very special. Read more about the guest and find all dates for the services on the following pages. When you attend the worship service in VIP, you can expect to hear the Word of God preached in a simple, plain, useable way and without compromise. You get the opportunity to be in the presence of God, and worship Him together with others, who also love Him. You can expect to experience the power of the Holy Spirit in your life. The Kingdom of God is people, changed by the power and influence of the Holy Spirit.

SUNDAY THE 7. SEPTEMBER 11.00 AM Stella Christtreu, Brande Stella has been a missionary living in Albania for 16 years. She left Albania in 2010 and was then working in YWAM’s base in Heidebeek, Holland, as a teacher and coach for missionaries and preachers. She is now back in Denmark and we get the opportunity to meet this great woman in the service 7. September. SUNDAY THE 5. OCTOBER 11.00 AM AND 14.30 PM Missions day with Hannah and Egon Falk, New Life Outreach, Tanzania

New Life Outreach is a mission organization, founded by Hannah & Egon Falk, with the purpose to do mission and to support development in Tanzania

They work with:

Evangelistic campaigns

Bible school and leader training

Church planting

School for poor children and orphans

A girls home for girls in need

Development and urgent help.

The babies and little children… In the back of the church room there is an area reserved for parents with babies and children under 3 years old. If it is necessary to take the child out of the church room for some time during the service, it is possible to follow the service on a monitor in the café. Please be aware that being in the café during the service is an offer made to the parents with small children, and is not supposed to be a place and time for adults to talk or older kids to play.

Bible class for children going in the 6-7 grade. Bible class is a 2-year course, and the young people will receive teaching in a relevant and exciting way. Every year in May, the young people who are in 7. grade and have completed this course, will receive prayer and a time of blessing in a special Sunday service.

Children’s church is for children age 3-12 years old. Children under age 3 are welcome if they are accompanied with an adult. The children have their own area in the church, where they sit together with the children’s workers during the first part of the service. Then they leave for children’s church where they have a program special for children. PLEASE TAKE NOTE! the first Sunday of the month there is no children’s church

ACTIVITIES FOR CHILDREN IN HOULKÆR

All children are welcome to attend these activities. The clubs meet at Odshøjvej 76, in the basement. The city bus stop is just 50 meters from the club room, and there are also good bike trails in the area so children can safely and easily get to and from the club.

”VIPPEN”

Who: From 5-6 years to 3. grade

What: We play, we sing, we compete, we do sports, we are creative, we listen to a relevant text based on Christian values, we are challenged, we are included in a great fellowship where you can be who you are.

When: Friday 3.00 pm - 4.30 pm (not in school holidays)

Price: Free. For special events there may be asked for a small amount to cover extra expenses.

”KID’S ZONE” Who: From 2.grade….and all who is older than that!

What: Something for you who want a place to hang out with your friends. No program, but lots of time to talk, play games, just being together. .

When: Friday 4.30 pm – 6.00 pm (not in school holidays)

Price: Free

GET-TOGETHER

for young people 13 – 17 years old

When: Friday in uneven weeks 07.00 PM Where do we meet: In VIP Café, Klokkestøbervej 1a, Viborg What: a good time in the café, outdoor activities,

fun, serious, Christian fellowship. You meet friends, you get new friends, you are challenged… The more we come, the better it will be… So of course you coma and you bring a friend!

VIP Kid’s Worship Band

VIP Kid’s Worship Band is the worship group in children’s church. It is children with a desire and talent to play an instrument for God.

They play in children’s church and when they have their practice on Sunday afternoon, they also always take time to pray together..

The band will be playing in children’s church the 21. September, 19. October and 16. November. VIP Café is reserved for practice the following times: 24. August: practice 01.30-03.00 PM 14. September: practice 01.30-03.00 PM 28. September: practice 01.30-03.00 PM 26. October: practice 01.30-03.00 PM 09. November: practice 01.30-03.00 PM

Leaders of the Kid’s Worship Band is music director Michel Berg and Dorothea Wagner, who also a part of the church worship group.

”We will be a cell based church…”

It is one of the values in VIP’s vision.

What is a ”cell group”?

In nature cells are living organisms. There are different cells, they have a function, they develop and multiply. This is how a VIP cell group should be. There is not only one kind of ”cell group” – but they are different and meet at different times and different settings and different kinds of fellowship, and they have different purposes. Some groups meet in a home, some are work groups, youth groups, integration groups, groups with common interest etc. The common things for all groups are that they have a purpose and a goal, and there is life and development. A body consists of many cells – different, but together they are one body with many different functions. The bible talks about the church as “the body of Christ” – he cannot be here physically, but we are his hands, his feet, his voice and together we are his body on earth today, and we must fulfill the job, we as Christians are given responsibility for.

The church is a home, a fellowship and also a working fellowship.

CLEANING- & WORK DAYS

in Selah center Do you also enjoy coming to nice buildings and facilities, clean surroundings and clean toilets…? We have a fantastic cleaning team, who makes this possible. But sometimes there is a need of some extra help. This is when you get the opportunity to help, with cleaning inside, outdoor work and other things, that the cleaning team does not have time for in the daily routines.

VIP Café – with the coffee automat, where you can buy different kinds of coffee, tea and chocolate drinks. VIP Café – every first Sunday of the month we have fellowship in the café after the service. VIP Café – is also open when there are special events in Selah Center or VIP This autumn there is café when we have child dedications, missions day, music service and Christmas party. And as a little extra the café will open on 3. og 4. Sunday in advent, and there will be served a Christmas snack.

CHRISTMAS SERVICES AND EVENTS

Sunday 30/12 11.00 AM: Music Service Music service with the choir ”sing4fun” and ”VIP Gospel Band”

sing4fun is a rhythmic choir from Viborg, led by choirmaster Pavlina Salehi and accompanied by pianist Anders Hjorth Nielsen. They play different rhythmical music - jazz, rock, pop, swing. VIP Gospel Band is the band in Viborg International Pentecostal Church. They also play at different event in Viborg. Free admission. After the music service there is open Christmas café in VIP Café.

Sunday 7/12 1.30 PM: Family Christmas party Christmas Party for children and adults, organized by VIP children’s church. Children’s performance, carols, joy, lottery, coffee and good fellowship.

Wednesday 24/12 2.00-3.00 PM: Christmas service

Wednesday 31/12 11.00 PM: New Year Service This service provides a unique opportunity to move into the new year with thanks and praise. New Years’ service lasts until midnight. Then everyone enjoys shooting some fireworks, good fellowship and eating a light, midnight Welcome to a wonderful evening! .
