Autobiography

I am Yu-Syuan Lu. My English name is Colleen. I am 22 years old. There are four people

in my family. My father is a military officer and my mother is a housewife. And I have a

little sister .

You might think that my family is traditional and strict. However, it is the opposite.

My parents are open-minded and very democratic. I must say I’m lucky to grow up in

this happy family. My parents never force us children to do things we don’t like. They

encouraged us to try on different stuff in order to discover our hobbies. My family's

teaching style gave me freedom on what I chose to learn. As a result, I did not have

much pressure and enjoyed every moment in school.

I always liked sports and all the outdoor activities. I also learned to play the piano,

drawing, sketching and painting. During my high school period, I learned computer

charting. After that, I started to learn sculptural, 3D programs and animating. I

discovered many new ideas from the art activities I have learned and still finding new

ways to express my knowledge in arts.

I have attended two different universities during my university years. Both

universities are beautiful and a great place to be at. My first university that I attended

is Ming Chuan University. I learned about the basics programs for design in that school.

My second university that I attended is Shu-Te university. The awesome teachers and

classmates in this school gave me a great environment to achieve my goals. I learned

how to work better as a team and some professional skills in arts. These two

universities provided me knowledge and it was a great impact in my life.

I excel at 2D arts. However, I am most interested in express my knowledge in art by

using handmade products than computer programing. If my only option is to use

computer programs, I would still try my best to express my style that can related to

handmade products by using simple colors and lining.
