In this type, we create constructional drawings, like building drawings etc.

In this type, we create Mechanical drawings, like any machine or its spare parts drawings and mostly Isometric drawings etc.

Command Line is the best way of working.

Command Line اس م س س ب طی ہ۔ Commands in Auto CAD

STARTUP:We use this command to take blank page in Auto CAD. This command will use just first time, until and unless Auto CAD is install.

UNITS (UN):We use this command to set Type and Units as per working. We will always use this command when we need to take new page.

UCSICON:It shows us that in which dimension we are working, either 2D or 3D. It should be fixed at the left bottom corner of Auto CAD, other wise it will disturb us when we will Zooming our drawing.

Method:Command: UCSICONSelect an option[OFF/ON/All/Noorigin/ORigin/Properties]:

1- LINE (L):We use this command to draw a line. Switch On ORHTO from status bar on Auto CAD or press F8 to draw straight line.

2- RECTANGLE (REC): (@50,60)---->(x,y)We use this command to draw any Square Object, opposite sites are equal of this object.

Method:Command: Rectangle (REC) RECTANG Chamfer/Elevation/Fillet/Thickness/Width/ <First corner>:Pick first corner.Pick other corner or type coordinates (@4,2).

3- EXPLODE (X):We use this command to break any Rectangle or Poly line into lines.

4- OFFSET (O):

We use this command to make multiple copies in parallel ways of object.

5- FILLET (F):We use this command to round corners of any object.

ORType One of the following options:P Fillets an entire Polyline.R Sets the fillet radius.T Sets the trim mode (trim cuts the fillet corner and no trim keeps the fillet corner).

6- CHAMFER(CHA):We use this command to make the cross corner of any object.

Method:Command: CHAMFER (CHA)Pick First object to chamfer.Polyline/Distance/Angle/Trim/Method<Select first line>: select first objectPick Second object to chamfer.

ORType One of the following options:P Chamfers entire Polyline.D Sets chamfer distances.A Uses a distance and angle method instead of two distances.T Sets the trim modeE Sets the method to distance or angle.

7- TRIM (TR):We use this command to trim line(s) to an exact intersection.

TIP: Hold the SHIFT key to interactively extend instead of trim.

8- EXTEND (EX):We use this command to extend line(s) to an outer object.

9- MOVE (M):We use this command to move a any object to an exact location.

10- COPY (CO / CP):We use this command to create copy of any object.

11- DIMENSION (D):We use this command to change type of drawing from Decimal to Architecture and vise versa, and also use to change Text size of dimensions.

12- DISTANCE (DI):We use this command to check distance between the two points.

13- TEXT (DT):We use this command to write text.

14- TEXT STYLE (ST):We use this command to change font style.

17- DDEDIT (ED):We use this command to edit in text.

SCALE (SC):We use this command to make large and small size of text or any object.

21- QUICK SELECT (QSELECT):we use this command to select same objects with same size and same color. Like, Lines, Circles, Arcs, Rectangle etc.

22- HATCH (H):We use this command to fill an specific area with style/design.

23- HATCH EDIT (HE):We use this command to edit in Hatch Object. We also change scale and angle of hatch object.

24- DRAW ORDER (DR):We use this command to send backward or forward color and hatching and also two any different objects.

Method:25- INSERT (I):We use this command to insert an Auto CAD drawing.

26- LENTHEN (LEN):We use this command o make changes in line, by Number, by Percentage, By Total and by Dynamic method.

28- LIST (LI):We use this command to check all the information related to object.

Method:Command: LIST or LI:Select objects: (select) Press ENTER when you are finished choosing objects:

29- LINE WEIGHTS (LW):We use this command to change thickness of line or any object.

30- MEASURES (ME):We use this command to measure object with specify segment distance.

31- DIVIDE (DIV):We use this command to divide object with specify distance.

32- ERASE (E):We use this command to omit/erase/remove any object.

33- DONUT (DO):We use this command to create a filled ring or solid-filled circle with the help of Inner and Outer diameter.

35- BLOCK (B):We use this command to convert multiple objects into one object.

36- AREA (AA):We use this command to calculate area of any architecture plan.

Command: AREA (AA)Pick The first point for area calculation <First point>/Object/Add/Subtract: (Click on two points on any axis)Press ENTER when you are finished choosing points.Choose Object to calculate whole are of rectangle.

For Example:1. Area calculation of 120 Sq. Yard Plan (24' x 45')

Note : 1 Sq. Yard = 9 Sq. FeetSo, first of all we will multiply 120 Sq. yard with 9 to convert value in Sq. feet.

120 x 9 = 1080 Sq. FeetNow, We will calculate area with the help of L.C.M.

37- ARC (A):We use this command to create a curve line with the help of just three points.

38- ARRAY (AR):We use this command to make multiple copies of any object with the help of center point.

39- LAYER (LA):We use this command to make layer of different objects, like doors, windows, specific lines and etc. With the help of layers, we can show, hide and lock any object.

40- ELLIPSE (EL):We use this command to create an oval shape.

41- DESIGN CENTER (DC / Ctrl+2):We use this command to insert different types of blocks with drag and drop, like, Architecture, Piping, Kitchen, Landscape, Electrical Symbols and etc.

Double click on Blocks.



42 – POLY LINE (PL):We use this command to create that line which all points are joined with each other. Also we can create arrows, arc, and dark line.

43 – POLY EDIT (PE):We use this command to join lines with each other with their points.

44 – POLYGON (POL):We use this command to create that object which have more than four (4) sides.

45 – POINT (PO):We use this command to show a point on any object or line.

47 – STRETCH (S):We use this command to change width and height of rectangle or any close object.

48 – CONSTRUCTION LINE / EXTRA LARGE LINE (XL):We use this command to create unlimited line or create any shape with the help of object.

Method:Command: XLSpecify a point or [Hor/Ver/Ang/Bisect/Offset]:

HOR: Creates a horizontal xline passing through a specified point.VER: Creates a vertical xline passing through a specified point.ANG: Creates an xline at a specified angle. BISECT: Creates an xline that passes through the selected angle vertex and bisects the angle between the first and second line.OFFSET: Creates an xline parallel to another object.

49 – POLAR (F10):We use this command to create a line with specif angle and line size.

50 – PAN (P):We use this command to move drawing with the help of left mouse click.

51 – REDRAW (RE):We use this command to refresh the current view.

52 – PLOT / PRINT (Ctrl+P):We use this command to print our drawing.

02 – REGION (REG):We use this command to to join arcs/circles and lines with each other.

03 – SUBTRACT (SU):We use this command to subtract object from another object.

04 – UNION (UN):We use this command to join multiple 3d objects.

05 – REVOLVE (REV):We use this command to create object with an angle.

ی کن زاوی ک مد س Objectبن ک ل اسل ک جت ہ۔Method:Command: REVOLVE (REV)Select objects : press enter Specify start point for axis of revolution or define axis by [Object/X (axis)/Y (axis)]:select points of axis.Specify angle of revolution <360>: Specify angle or Press enter.



Procedure for revolve.First draw a circle. Draw a line from top to bottom in the circle. Trim the half part of circle, you will get below mentioned shape.

Join both the object with each other with the help of Region(Command # 02 in 3d section).Now, apply revolve command as mentioned above and you can get below mentioned shape. Similarly, you can draw different object with the help of SPLine and Arcs. Which object you will draw, it should be close and join like above shape, otherwise revolve command will not work.

06 – SLICE (SL):We use this command to break a solid object into two parts.
