Eindhoven Smart Light Tender

Intelligent Lighting Institute/ solution partner of the Intelligent Lighting Institute at TU/e

Procurement of continuous innovation in lighting• technology to improve quality of

life in the city

• multipurpose smart lighting grid provided as public utility

• the city as a living lab to explore new solutions

Modular data harvesting

Modular data harvesting will give us the opportunity to (re)use data for multi purposes.

Examples: temperature/weather conditions, airpressure, noice, air quality, number of people, people density/movement, geo-info etc.

Datasets have to be anonymized.

We have to build a modular way for having datasets available

Stratumseind

The pubstreet: ‘’Stratumseind’’ is about 300 meters long

50 pubs near the centre of the City of Eindhoven

About 20.000 (young) vistors weekly

800 incidents a year, half of them agression-ralated. (Police figures)

Living Lab Stratumseind

Living Lab, Instrument to measure the influance on behavior we create (light, fragrance, design, a.k.a “nudging”).

Living lab, as a testfacility for new sensors, dataharvesting, privacy, systemarchitecture.

Smart sensors, smart interfaces, smart actors, smart lights, smart data, smart design, gaming.

Part of the Stratumseind 2.0 & Smart City project.

The Living Lab…..on the Pubstreet itself…
