Mahalo to all who helped the PTSA have a wonderful start to the new school year. We had 47 people become members of the PTSA during orientation week. You can still become a member. There are applications at the LC. Please fill one out and ask McKenna to put it in the PTSA mailbox. Membership fee is $15 for adults/ $10 for students. Over 200 people attended the Back to School Beach Bash at Bellows. The Bash was a success thanks to Carmen Perkins, Jeff Piontek, Libra Forde and of course all of our guests. Due to some wonderful dishes at our Beach Bash, an HTA Cookbook was suggested. We will have more information about that in the next Blast. Please start gathering your favorite recipes!!

Our curriculum provider is making it possible for the 9th Grade Hawaiian History Course to

appear on your child’s 9th grade course list. The online course will be supported by Mrs.

Erin Smith at the Learning Center. She will be providing you with more details regarding

this class over the next few weeks. Materials for the course will be sent from our curricu-

lum provider.

11th Graders who need Hawaiian History: The course will be added this week to a few 11th grade students who

will need the course in order to graduate.

If you have any questions about the addition of this course to your student’s course list, please contact

Regina Leonardi via e-mail [email protected]
