This Year
• For this year…– One location, 2 courts – Willowwood– Higher registration fee due to increased costs for
Willowwood– Fall Season from Sept-Dec Only, league will not
extend into Winter– No rule changes, all teams make playoffs– League guided devotions – still being worked on…

• More information on Special Events..– Pickup and tournaments in the winter

League Format
• 2 Sets – Standings based on Total Points Scored
• SOC Points – Point system to keep league focused on Spirit and Sportsmanship, not winning
• Minimum of 4 players of the court (at least 1 girl)• Players in the league are only allowed to play for
ONE Team• All players who are dressed for the game are
required to attend devotions

League Format
• General Rules– No warm-up/volleying/”pepper” allowed on the
side-lines while games are in progress. This will prevent interruptions to games as there is already a tight schedule for the games
– Please keep all food on the stage, no food should be brought onto the courts
– Please do not leave any garbage on the stage– Captains and Governors are responsible for
their team’s actions and attitudes

If you’re a Team Captain…
• Captain - Role & Responsibilities– Provide Team Contact Information (suggest a contact list with -
email, phone numbers etc.)– Email team weekly with reminder of games– Ensure that a full team can participate in the scheduled game,
absences need to be provided with 48 hrs notice– Organize lineups, positions and ensure that everyone gets a
chance to play – Provide leadership on the court by keeping the team focused,
encouraging other players, cheering etc.– Serve as a role model for sportsmanship to our team as well as
other teams– Ensure team abides by CVA League Rules– Help keep the gym clean

If you’re a Governor…
• Governor - Role & Responsibilities– Prepare or Co-ordinate a devotional for each game that you are
your home team. Other individuals on your team can be asked to help out, but use your discretion
– Follow devotion guidelines– Serve as a role model for sportsmanship to our team as well as
other teams– Be spiritually focused on and off the court– Pray for members on your team, Christian and non-Christian– Opening prayer for games

• Lost & Found– Please remember to bring all belongings with
you at the end of each night– If items are not claimed within two weeks we
may return the items to the school lost & found
– Please contact the league coordinators for lost & found items either through email, the website or by phone
