Thank you for your generous support and for your participation in United Way’s signature event. Your generosity supports programs that help people in KFL&A live with hope, dignity and a sense of belonging.

This year, United Way celebrates 75 years of caring. Last year 75,000 people were helped by 57 programs provided by local agencies.

“United Way Fare for Friends” was created by Clark Day and Joanne & Michèle Langlois in 1994. Since its inception, United Way Fare for Friends has raised over $1.2 million.

This unique event offers guests the opportunity to indulge on food prepared from Kingston’s finest restaurants and sample fine beverages from wineries and breweries across Southern Ontario. Live entertainment and beautiful flowers set the perfect backdrop for Kingston’s favourite garden party.

This year we welcome a record number of participants with 24 premiere restaurants and 20 Canadian wineries and breweries.

Collecting Your Items

Within fifteen minutes of the auction being complete, a tent card with the winner’s name will be placed at each Silent Auction item.

If you are the successful bidder please follow these easy steps to claim your prize:

Step 1 Collect the white and the yellow auction invoice form from one of the volunteers in the Silent Auction area.

If you are the winner of a Live Auction item, you will be given white and the yellow auction invoice forms upon your successful bid.

Step 2 Bring both auction invoice forms to the payment tent.

Step 3 After you have paid for your items you will get back the yellow auction invoice form, marked paid (or with a paid credit card slip attached).

Step 4 Bring the yellow auction invoice form marked paid (or with a paid credit card slip attached) back to the auction area where a volunteer will help you collect your winning item(s).

You are welcome to collect all your cards and pay at one time if you are bidding on a number of items through the afternoon.

Sally states this is her fanciful interpretation of the Homestead Head Office on Johnson Street in Kingston. Born in Nova Scotia, Sally grew up in Canada and Europe. She began her career in fashion design, detouring into visual arts. Sally has been a full time artist for 30 years and is also a teacher of watercolours, oil painting, and acrylic painting. Sally was elected to the Portrait Society of Canada and the Society of Canadian Artists in 2009. Sally’s recent works are exhibited in Meraqui Annex, Frameworks Gallery and Gallery on Gore in Perth, ON. She paints primarily in oils.
