From our Worthy President

Greetings Brothers and Sisters,

I’m honored that I have been elected to be your

President for this coming year and I’m looking

forward to great year for all of us. I’m especially

happy about Reba having been elected as the

Madam President of the Auxiliary. She has done

this twice before hand and that is the kind of

experience we need during these times. We have a

lot of challenges on our table for this coming year.

We all need to work together to ensure we have a

successful and productive year.

One of my top items is membership. With my

fingers crossed, I’m hoping to get new faces in our

Aerie. I have started a “real” membership

committee and Gene Tripp, Worthy Vice President

is the chair for Aerie, and we will also need a co-

chair from the Auxiliary. I will be looking for

volunteers to help.

For this Aerie to survive we will need to grow and

this means getting new members. Please try and

bring in new people. Friends, family, etc. who you

feel would make a good Eagle to the Club.

Suggestions for improvement to our club are very

welcome. Please put in the BOT suggestion box. All

suggestions will be taken seriously. Also we are

having a Joint officers meeting on 7-13-16. I’m

hoping for a big turnout.

Hello Sisters,

It has been a very interesting first month as Madam

President, thank you all for voting me in.

We have a lot going on in the new year. Hope

everyone is up for the challenge.

!!!! Our goal is Membership !!!!!!

Kim Taylor is membership chairperson and she has

started a contest for members. Look around the

Aerie for the information, or come to meeting and

find out, the meetings only last 1 hour to 1 1/2 and

its only 2 times a month. There will only be one

meeting in July and that will be on the 7th. So come

on down and join us. There will be a joint officers

meeting on the 13th at 7p.m.

Miss Evelyn’s service was great and I’m sure

everyone misses her and much as I do. We have

lost a lot of members this past year. Prayers be

with all the family members left behind.

The Father’s Day Brunch turned out great, food

awesome. Sorry if you didn’t make it. Thanks to all

that did.

The Past Madam President’s will be doing the

charity in July, Cancer. Look for information! We

will need more volunteers for upcoming charity’s.

Remember, we are “people helping people”. You

are welcome to call me at 678-463-0010 if you are

interested. See you at the Aerie

Brother’s & Sister’s,

All of us on the BOT are looking forward to working with all of you during the upcoming year. We want this

to be a team effort with everyone getting involved.

Pati Berl is our new Auxiliary Liaison person. She will be working to improve the relationship between the

Aerie and the Auxiliary.

We would appreciate your input on the meals you would like, drink specials and on brands you prefer. One

question we have already received concerns members wanting to bring in their own special brand of wine

and paying a “CORKING FEE”. This is illegal and could cost us our Liquor license. However, we do encourage

your input and need to know what brands so that we can see if it is feasible to stock them.

Another area of concern is the Social Room hours. In an effort to cut some of our expense, the floor voted

on closing early in the evening if warranted. So, the BOT and bartenders will be using their judgement on

this matter. Hopefully we will not have to take this approach very often.

We have sent out a flyer on the new July Happy Hour for Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.

Please realize that with our limited space we can’t stock everything or cook every meal that you request,

but we will do our best to make as many of you happy as possible.

Sunday entertainment is another area that we would like suggestions on. What would you like to do?

Our goal is to make this the place where you want to spend your time. We all need to work on membership.

That is critical to our very existence. Bring in your friends and neighbors, the ones you would like to spend

time with.

We have a suggestion box by the Trustee door. We will be reading your notes every week.

This is a team effort, please get on board and help us make this a great year.

Each time a member makes a purchase of dinner or drinks they are given a ticket to fill in their name,

address and phone number to be placed in a box marked “I support my Aerie Drawing”. Customers are

given only one ticket each night. Winners are determined by a drawing held on Saturday night at 11:00 pm.

If your name is drawn and you are present at the time of the drawing you win $50.00 in Eagle Buck’s. If you

are not present at the time of the drawing you will win $25.00 in Eagle Buck’s.
