People of these temperaments differ in their ability to work, activity level, and mental agility
All athletes may be characterized as one, or a combination, of these:
I. Cholerica. Extremely Irritableb. Easily learns technique; but habits are unstable
II. Sanguinea. Cheerfully Optimisticb. Easily learns technique and retains habits
III. Phlegmatica. Apathetic, not easily excitedb. Slow to learn technique yet retains habits
IV. Melancholica. Gloomy/depressedb. Slow to learn technique and does not retain habits
For each of these groups the coach must develop a specific approach to training
