This is America's government

Americas Democracy : we vote for a leader.

Americas Government :Anyone can hold government positions.

Americas leader :president obama.

Athens Democracy:They vote for a leader.

Athens Government:Only Men could hold government positions.

Athens Leader:Pericles was a leader of the athens .

● The Athens run on a democratic government

● Athen men after 18 are citizens

But women,slaves,children and foreigners could not hold government positions

The three branches of the athens government are : The assembly,The council and The courts.

When Athens didn't want someone to be leader they would put the name of the person they wanted to be leader in a vase.

They only voted on yes and no questions at the meetings.

There polis was that only men could hold government positions,they would vote for a leader,they would buy slaves.

If not enough people showed up slaves would go and bring them in red painted robe to humiliate them.

We in america we vote for a "leader" just like the Athens, but anyone more then 18 can hold a government position.We do not have slaves .
