PPCRV Poll Watching Overnight Volunteer Opportunity

ARSA:

The nation needs your help! In cooperation with the Ateneo Task Force 2010, OSCI (Office of Social

Concern and Involvement) has asked ARSA for help. PPCRV, the official citizen's arm for the May 10

elections is doing a parallel count of the votes and want the ARSAns to help, The count begins

on Election Day, 10 PM at Pope Pius at UN Avenue, continuing until the next day (Yes, overnight

work!), May 11 has not yet been declared a holiday and if it won't, the volunteers can leave by early

morning on May 11 to catch their classes.TRANSPO and FOOD will be provided. Orientation is

on Sunday, May 9, at 8 pm, Venue TBA. Text 09209196607 or email rinajanine@yahoo. com if you are

interested by Sunday afternoon, 3 pm.

Remember, the national elections come only once in every 6 years and this is an awesome

opportunity to really see what happens behind the scenes on election day. We hope to have you join us.

ARSAns voting at the MIRIAM precint can join the dorm council going there at 5:30 AM on May

10. Let's meet up at the University Residence Lobby! See you!

May 10 is Election Day

Be a responsible voter! Know your candidates. Know who and, more importantly, what

you are voting for.

Attached is an Election Primer which includes PDF files of National Candidates Profiles

(Presidentiables, Vice Presidentiables, and Senatoriables), Party List, and

a Voter Guide. These can also be found in the Ateneo Task Force 2010 Facebook page.

If you still don't know where you will be voting, you may find it in the COMELEC

Website.

Mobilization (PPCRV Poll Watching)

ATF2010, in partnership with the Parish Pastoral

Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV), will send

volunteers to different poll stations to ensure clean,

honest, and peaceful elections on May 10.

Can’t vote? That’s not a problem. Why not promote the elections (importance of voting

and responsible voting) by wearing this shirt—the official Ateneo Task Force 2010

shirt—on May 10? It will not only serve as an outfit on Election Day but also a souvenir

of your contribution to our country during this momentous time.

The shirts are available for PHP120 for ATF2010 Volunteers and PHP240 for non-

volunteers. To order, kindly email ateneotaskforce2010 @gmail.com and indicate

the following: full name, ID number, cellphone number, if you’re a volunteer/non-

volunteer, shirt design (the ballot box or the election checklist), and size*. (You

may click the picture and drag to another tab to see full shirt layout.)

*Sizes are bigger than usual (one size bigger). Sizes available XS, S, M, and L. If you're

usually an S-size shirt, order the XS and so on and so forth.

They also accept incident reports

regarding the elections in your place.

Everyone is also invited to volunteer as a

tele-educator, documentor, or researcher.
