1. Key features

This section formally introduces the key features of Grandstream ATA that used by customers installing their MADA VoIP line at.

1.1 Ports2FXS ports (RJ11), dual 10/100 Mbps network ports (RJ45) with integrated high performance NAT router.

1.2 Telephone features advanced telephone features including caller ID, call waiting, 3-way conference, transfer, forward, do not disturb, message indication, multi language voice prompts, T.38 fax, fixable dial plan, direct IP dialing.

1.3 Codecs

Comprehensive voice codecs G7.11 (a/u law), G729 A/B/E, G728, G726-40/32/24/16/and iLBC

2. ConfigurationThis section will describe the steps of configuration with its screenshots.

2.1 Plug and play The right way to connect the ATA is:

- Plug the cable from your ISP modem to WAN port at ATA

- Plug your PC with LAN port at ATA

- Enter the address 192.168.2.1 at web browser page.

(this address as default maybe customer had changed for his own reason)

- Enter “admin” as the default password to enter the web interface for this device.

2.2 Status page

This page is providing us with:

- MAC address of the device

- IP address taken from the modem

- Port status or registration status.

FXS1 registered no authentication problem

(user name& password)

FXS1 not registered authentication problem

(user name& password)

2.3 Basic settings

This page provides how the ATA connected to ISP modem:

- Dynamically IP address: when you connect the ATA to router and DHCP enabled at router

- PPPOE: when using DSL modem direct to ATA, need the username & password to authenticate the DSL then go through internet

- Statically IP address: when the application at customer’s router need this issue.

2.4 FXS PORT 1

This option where we define the SIP account no.1

- Primary SIP server: aloha

- Failor SIP server: left blank

- Outbound Proxy: 208.87.169.82 or sip.xol.jo

- Sip transport: UDP

- NAT traversal: no or yes when insert stun server

- Sip user id: 400xxxx

- Authenticate id: pin

- Auth. Pass: pass

- Name: customer’s name

Update button should be clicked once customer finish any change at any settings in FXS PORT1

2.5 Advanced settings

Insert the stun server when needed, by entering the advanced setting and write it down at its place.
