Preamble:

In the SI. No. read .at. (-1). above, A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) forNatural Gas Infrastructure and City Gas. Distribution was siqnecibetween the State

. Government in 100 and Mis. GAlk (India) Limited, New Delhi on 29-04-2009.

In the G.O. read at (2) above, Kamataka State Industrial and InfrastructureDevelopment Corporation (KSIIDC), Bangalore has been nominated as the NodalAgency for Dabhol --:-Bangalore Gas pipelme project. As per the' MoU, Promotion ofJoint Venture for City Gas Distribution projects for Domestic, Commercial, Industrial andTransport sectors with the participation of M/s.GAIL, GAIL Gas Ltd., (GGL), KSIIDC,KSRTC and BMTC was. also agreed. It was also agreed that M/s.GAIL and 100 toconduct necessary Techno' Economic studies based on demand' potential andgeographical distribution of demand and address accordingly the requirements ofInfrastructure for distribution, including pipelines and City Gas Distribution networks andassociated facilities for the state under feasible supply options on long term competitivebasis. City Gas Distribution is also proposed to be..takerrup by the Government ofKarnataka.

3. In SI. No. read at (3) above,· Joint Venture Agreement (JVA) was enteredbetween KSIIDC & GAIL (India) Ltd., for City Gas Distribution in the State. Joint VentureCompany has beenformed between.the KSifDC andGAI~ for this project with the InitialAuthorisedBhare Capital of RS.100.00 crores. The CapitalStructure of the proposedJoint Venture Company is as follows:-

The total equity contribution from KSIIDC (on behalf of Government of Karnataka)at 24% of initial authorized share capital of RS.100.00 crores is RS.24.00 crores. It wasagreed that the equity contribution will be released in.installment every year.

4.' 'In the G.O.s read at (4 & 5) above, an arnountofRs...169.64 lakhs (Rs. OneHundred and Sixty Nine lakhs Sixty Four Thousand only) was released towards

. Establishment of a Joint.Venture ..Company..by..KSIIDC and GAIL India Ltd., for City Gas.Distribution (CGD) Project. .

5. In the G.O. read at (6) above, an amount of Rs. 298.30 lakhs (Rs. Two Hundredand Nin.ety Eight lakhs and Thirty Thousand only) was released towards Equity Sharefor Joint Venture Company for the City Gas Distribution Project.

6. In the G.O. read at (7) above, an amount of Rs.253.60 lakhs (Rs. Two Hundred.anc Fifty Three lakhs and Sixty Thousand only) i.e RS.200 lakhs for equity investmentand RS.53.60 lakhs for establishment and administrative expenses to KSIIDC towardsCity Gas Distribution Project for the year 2012-13.

7. In the letter dated: 22.03.2013 read at (8) above, the Deputy General Manager,KSIIDC, Bangalore has requested to 'release balance amount RS.300.00 lakhs.(Rs.Three hundred lakhs only) towards equity investment.

8. Government after examining the proposalhasdecided ..to-release the balance:amount Rs.300.00 lakhs (Rs.Three Hundred lakhs only) toward Equity Investment in. City Gas Distribution Project. Hence this order.

GOVERNMENT ORDER NO. 100 10 UIP 2012

BANGALORE, DATED: 22-10.2013

Under the circumstances explained in the preamble, Government is pleased to

release balance amount of RS.300.00 lakhs (Rs.Three Hundred lakhs only) towards to

Karnataka State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (KSIIDC),

Bangalore towards equity investment in City Gas Distribution Project for the

year 2013-14.

2. This amount shall be met under the Head of Account "5465-01-190-1-17:City Gas

Distribution Project" out of the Budget provision of RS.2000.00 lakhs during 2013-14.

3. The Managing Director, KSIIDC, Bangalore is authorized to draw the amount on

a Payees Receipt duly countersigned by the Under Secretary to Government,

Infrastructure Development Department.

4. This order is issued in accordance with the concurrence of FD Note No.

FD/988/EXP-1/2013, dated 21-09-2013.
