Forchheim, 25. November 2019 – After several years of intensive development, AST-X GmbH, together with the Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Circuits IIS, presents the smart, wireless pick-by-light solution TRILUM. TRILUM will celebrate its commercial product launch at the SPS - Smart Production Solutions trade fair in Nuremberg from November 26 to 28, 2019. Easy installation, flexible adaptation The picking system uses LED light signals to guide employees to the correct storage locations and displays all the important information such as the withdrawal compartment and the number of articles required directly on site. The radio-based communication within the system eliminates the need for cabling, making TRILUM ideal for use in temporary or mobile warehouse structures. TRILUM's completely wireless approach makes commissioning particularly straightforward. The system is designed for simple integration into existing storage systems and its modular design makes it easy to expand. Improved utilisation with a lower error rate The TRILUM.display is designed for easy and time-saving warehouse processes. Important information, such as the number of parts to be removed and barcodes, can be read directly. Four operating keys enable the acknowledgement of processes and the adjustment of quantity stocks. This means that TRILUM works paper-free and is particularly energy-efficient thanks to the use of modern ePaper displays. Since the system uses RGB LED signal guidance, several order pickers can also work on different orders simultaneously. TRILUM thus increases picking performance and reduces the error rate with automated employee management.
