What is ASSIST?

Nanotechnologies in ASSIST Research

ASSIST Vision and Mission:

ASSIST Education:

The vision of the ASSIST Center is to use nanotechnology to build new integrated technologies that will enable a new era of data driven health management. With its transformational self-powered and ultra low power technologies, ASSIST seeks to enable correlation between personal health and personal environment and empower patients and doctors to manage wellness, lowering health costs and improving global health.

ASSIST Systems are Self-Powered, Wearable, Wireless with Multimodal Sensing Functionality enabled by nanotechnologies.

The Nano Advantage• Lower Power Consumption and improved performance

• Flexibility without loss in performance

Mission: to produce graduates who are creative, adaptive and competitive in the global economy, and are equipped to lead technological advancement in either industry or academia.

Industry Partners:

Over 25 companies are currently members of the ASSIST Industry Ecosystem

Over 10 IP disclosures filed by ASSIST

3 Sponsored research projects in the Center

ASSIST at the 2013 Consumer Electronic Show
