Education – The Key to Development

Developed world has entered the 21st century, but many third world nations have yet to enter the 20th century. Acquisition of skills and knowledge enables people to overcome poverty and disease· Education is an essential tool for achieving sustainability. Education enables people to come out of oppression and alienation. It helps them take control of their lives· There is a Lack of Educational institutions with essential learning material and equipment. Voluntary Sector plays a critical role in providing Education.

Education is the most powerful weapon we can use to the change the world. ~ Nelson Mandela

eLearning – Myth vs Reality

Myth Reality

It's too expensive ROI analysis shows that eLearning is cheaper than Classroom Training. • Travel Costs Avoided • Reduction in Employee Down Time

It needs significant internal IT resources

Low Cost Outsourcing Service Providers exist for development and hosting.

It does not allow for human interaction

Increases human interaction through Role-playing and collaboration facility.

It takes a long time to develop Content Management Systems reduce the development time from months to weeks. Readily available templates ease the development process.

It's too difficult to change Content management systems make editing an eCourse as simple as “cut & paste.”

Employees will not accept it Ease of use, and “anywhere, anytime” access is appreciated.

It puts trainers on the unemployment line

Blended Learning is the standard today.
