DRAMA

• I have chosen this genre because the opening sequence will create enigma and keep the audience interested.• The film genre Drama deals with serious and

emotional issues with characters in conflict.• Examples: 4321, The Freedom Writers

• Drama conventions are: plot driven, realistic settings, realistic characters, character is at a critical point in their life.

INSPIRATIONAL FILMS

The Freedom Writers• A drama based true movie teacher• Released in 2007• Teacher who inspires unprivileged children

Page 4: Assignment 8

INSPIRATIONS

• True story, inspired me to make mine as realistic as I can.

• Characters are symbols, I should make my characters represent something

Page 5: Assignment 8

4321

This film has inspired me because the ending scene was put at the beginning so the audience would wonder how she got to that position.

The scene is set in a cafe which their target audience (15-18 year olds) would be familiar with. This inspires me to make my settings relate to my target audience.

THEMES

• My chosen theme is addiction.
