Western Architecture Illustration

INTRODUCTION This assignment provides a means for the student to

familiarize themselves with a particular architectural

period/style as well as the architects, and illustrate the

unique architectural characteristics of the particular

period/style.

TASK Each student is required to produce a relevant drawing

in order to contribute to a compilation of illustrations of

one (1) building within the specified period of

architectural history as follows:

1. Romanesque

2. Gothic (France)

3. Renaissance

4. Palladian

5. Baroque & Rococo

6. Classical Revival

7. Gothic Revival

8. Arts & Crafts

9. Art Nouveau

10. The Chicago School & Early Skyscrapers

CONTENTS The compilation should at least include the followings:

drawing paper using black ink only.
