Day Trips: Register at the LG Adult Recreation Center, 208 E. Main St., Front Desk. Day Trips are open to all adults over 21 years of age and members of LG 55 Plus Program (see page 8 for membership). The day trips below are shared with Campbell Recreation Center and travel on West Valley Charter buses. The bus leaves from Los Gatos unless otherwise noted. Put your name on a wait list for last minute cancellations or in case we add a second bus. Activity Level I: easy, no stairs. Activity Level II: moderate, some stairs. Activity Level III: lots of walking, uneven ground, stairs.

ARTISTIC MASTERPIECES: WED. FEB. 20 8:45am-4:45pm $91View wonderful masterpieces of both Monet and Gauguin at the De Young Museum. The Monet exhibit will feature 50 paintings dating from 1913-1926 including 20 pieces from the Musee Marmottan in Paris. The Gauguin exhibit will feature over 50 paintings, wood carvings and ceramics from a renowned collection in Copenhagen. There will be plenty of time on your own to view these special exhibits (an audio tour is available for a $6 fee). Before our visit to the Museum delight in a hosted brunch at the Famous Cliff House in San Francisco. Menu choices are: bacon, mushroom & cheese omelet; a sautéed vegetable scramble or sourdough French toast. Level: 2 Moderate Activity

CHINESE CLASSIC: SAT. MARCH 2 9:00am-6:15p $65Enjoy a wonderful Chinese musical drama at the Buddha’s Universal Church in San Francisco. This year’s production “A Change of Heart” features traditional embroidered and sequined costumes, classical Chinese dance and Kung Fu martial arts. Before the show there will be time to shop in Chinatown and to have a hosted family-style Chinese lunch at the Garden Restaurant. Level 3: Maximum Activity

IRISH CELEBRATION: WED. MARCH 13 8:45am–4:15pm $97Be Irish for a day and wear your green for this Irish celebration. Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day at the first Irish social center in the United States, the United Irish Cultural Center. There will be live music by the O’Holly Irish Collective and Irish dancers. During the entertainment, enjoy an Irish meal of corned beef and cabbage with green leprechaun ice cream. Level 1: Minimum Activity.

MYSTERY TRIP: TUES. MAY 14 8:00am – 6:15pm $74Where?, What?, How? Calling all those who are daring to join us on a mysterious adventure into parts unknown. The only clues to the secrets of the day are: 1) A treat for some of your senses 2) a tasty hosted lunch with a sandwich choice of turkey, tuna or roast beef 3) Witness a few unusual creative demonstrations. Level: 2 Moderate Activity
