Year 7 2014 Expression of InterestYear 6 students attending High School next year have been given an expression of interest form. Parents are requested to fill out theforms and return them to the school office NOLATER THAN FRIDAY 22 MARCH. The forms must be completed for all Year 6 students.
NAPLANOur students in Years 3 and 5 will be sitting the national tests from 14 to 16 May. It is important for your child to participate. Parents are given feedback on how their child is goingacademically. Make sure you mark the dates on your calendar.
Muftiday- Easter P&C RaffleStudents are invited to come in 'mufti' dress on Friday 15 March. Students are asked to bring in an Easter chocolate egg/rabbit to donate to the P&C Easter fund raiser. Last year we had around30 prizes. The raffle will be drawn at theEaster Hat Parade on Tuesday 26 March.

Rachel can assist with supporting your child and linking you with support agencies to ensure you and your child's well-being. Rachel is with us five days a fortnight. HOW2LearnSue Najor and participated in two day training course organised by Regional staff. The strategy closely examines how students learn best and how teachers can provide anenvironment where students can develop skills to meet the challenges of the 21st Century.Training will be ongoing for all teachers throughout the year to enable implementation of this strategy.
Athletics CarnivalIt was a picture perfect day last Friday and fun was had by all. Students need to be congratulated for their participation and 'havi ng a go'. Thank you to our fantastic parent supporters and helpers on the day. Congratulations to our age champions:

NUMERACY NEWS We have been estimating length this week. Children have been trying to cut a piece of string 1 metre long. If you do measure these things, hand your measurements to Mrs Najor by Friday.
This week I will be coming around to see who can estimate the volumeof a container. Start seeing how many millilitres and litres in containers at home.

We talked about a whole range of things and how playing with your childhelps them to learn in a fun way. One lucky parent took home our prize of
the gift voucher for our local butcher.
