Energy EfficientThe Arts&Crafts® uses electrical energy in the most efficient possible way� The optics are designed to

direct the illumination to the surface with no stray light which translates into wasted energy� A wide variety

of lamp and ballast systems gives you more energy efficient design choices� The result is more light with

less energy consumption�

Light PollutionThe Arts&Crafts® utilizes full cutoff optics tied with a solid shade, which means there is no light emitted

above 90° horizontal� This ensures no light is beamed into the sky which contributes to light pollution and

wasted energy�

LongevityAAL manufactures all our products to have a life span as long as the building or space they illuminate�

The primary material used for both our luminaire and pole products is aluminum to resist corrosion and

the need for maintenance� Aluminum will not need the periodic refinishing required of steel products that

will eventually rust and corrode� All our fasteners are made of aluminum or stainless steel� Our optical

enclosures are kept dust free and dry with the use of silicone gaskets to prevent light degradation from

contaminant’s�

SustainabilityAAL develops our products with recycling and resource management in mind� We recycle all incoming

packaging materials� Our products are shipped in easy to recycle packaging materials� Our state of

the art finishing system uses eco friendly cleansing and preparation chemicals that are harmless enough

to send to the drain without further processing� Our powder coating process eliminates the release of

HOUSING

The fixture housing, shade, and base are cast aluminum, A356 alloy, free of any porosity, foreign materials, or cosmetic fillers� The shaft shall be 6” wide and 34 1/4" tall, extended 6061-T6 aluminum� The ballast is mounted internally and accessed by loosening three set screws and lifting the fixture head off of the shaft� Relamping is done by removing three stainless steel acorn nuts underneath the shade and lifting it off the base� The lens is press molded, tempered borosilicate glass, sealed to the top with a silicone gasket� All internal and external hardware is stainless steel�

ELECTRICAL

The ballast is integral to the fixture, mounted on a prewired module with a quick disconnect plug� The ballast module has two keyhole slots and is removable by loosening two screws� Sockets are pulse rated porcelain� HID ballasts are high power factor, rated for -30°C starting� Ballasts are multitap, wired at the factory for 277 volts, unless specified� Compact fluorescent transformers are electronic, 120 through 277 volt for 26, 32 or 42 watt 4 pin lamps�

FINISH

Fixture finish shall consist of a five stage pretreatment regimen with a polymer primer sealer, oven dry off and top coated with a thermoset super TGIC polyester powder coat finish� The finish shall meet the AAMA 605�2 performance specification which includes passing a 3000 hour salt spray test for corrosion resistance�

RELAMPING

Access to the lamp is accomplished by loosening a captive screw at the underside of shade and directly opposite hinge� The lamp compartment is accessed by turning a knob that is attached to the removable socket plate�

CERTIFICATION

The fixture is listed with ETL for outdoor, wet location use, UL1598 and Canadian CSA Std� C22�2 NO�250� IP Rating: 55

WARRANTY

Fixture is warranted for three years� Ballast components carry the ballast manufacturer’s limited warranty� Any unauthorized return, repair, replacement or modification of the Product(s) shall void this warranty� This warranty applies only to the use of the Product(s) as intended by AAL and does not cover any misapplication or misuse of said Product(s), or installation in hazardous or corrosive environments� Contact AAL for complete warranty language, exceptions, and limitations�

HOUSING

The fixture and arm shall be cast aluminum. The

shade shall hinge open by loosening a captive screw

for relamping. The lens shall be molded tempered

borosilicate glass. The lens shall be sealed top and

bottom with silicone gaskets. The ballast assembly

shall be mounted on a plate that attaches to the

backside of the arm. Quick disconnects shall be used

for all electrical connections. All internal and external

hardware shall be stainless steel.

ELECTRICAL

All electrical components shall be U.L. recognized.

Magnetic HID ballasts shall be high power factor, rated

for -30°C starting. Sockets for T-6 lamps shall be a

G12 base. Medium base porcelain sockets shall be

pulse rated. Fluorescent lamps shall be powered by

an electronic ballast and shall be rated for a minimum

starting temperature of -18°C. The electrical assembly

shall be installed and prewired in the fixture.

MOUNTING

The fixture/arm assembly shall be secured to the

arm with four stainless steel sect screws. Wall plate

attaches to the wall with two stainless steel 3/8" bolts.

Hardware by others. For pendant mounting, the fixture

shall be threaded to the stem.

FINISH

Fixture finish shall consist of a five stage pretreatment

HOUSING

The fixture shall be cast aluminum, certified as pure A356 alloy free of any porosity, foreign materials or cosmetic fillers. The shade shall hinge open by loosening a captive screw for relamping and ballast access. The lamp compartment is accessed by turning a knob that is attached to the removable socket plate. The lenses shall be molded tempered borosilicate glass for Type 3 refractor. The frosted lens shall be tempered high borosilicate glass.

The lenses shall be sealed top and bottom with silicone gaskets. The ballast assembly shall be accessible by turning two screws in keyhole slots and twisting the ballast plate to remove. Quick disconnects shall be used for all electrical connections. All internal and external hardware shall be stainless.

ELECTRICAL

Magnetic HID ballasts shall be high power factor, rated for -30° C starting. Sockets for T-6 lamps shall be a G12 base. Medium base porcelain sockets shall be pulse rated. High output fluorescent lamps shall be powered by Advance SmartMate® electronic ballast and shall be rated for a minimum starting temperature of -10° C. The electrical assembly shall be installed and prewired in the fixture.

MOUNTING

Post top mounting: the ACRD (round) fixture shall slip over a 4"/100mm O.D. pole and be secured by three stainless steel set screws. The ACSQ (square) fixture shall slip over a 4"/100mm square pole and be secured by four stainless steel set screws.

Arm mounting: The fixture shall be secured to the arm with four stainless steel bolts for both pole and wall mounted arms. Arms shall attach to the pole with two 3/8-16 stainless steel allen head cap bolts. Hardware to attach the wall mounted arm to the structure shall be provided by others.

Pendant mounting: The fixture shall be threaded to the stem. Pendant mount, stem with canopy (ballast enclosure) shall be 48"/1220mm tall.

FINISH

Fixture finish shall consist of a five stage pretreatment regimen with a polymer primer sealer, oven dry off and top coated with a thermoset super TGIC polyester powder coat finish. The finish shall meet the AAMA605.2 performance specification which includes passing a 3000 hour salt spray test for corrosion resistance.

RELAMPING

Access to the lamp is accomplished by loosening a captive screw at the underside of shade and directly opposite hinge. The lamp compartment is accessed by turning a knob that is attached to the removable socket plate.

CERTIFICATION

The fixture is listed with ETL for outdoor, wet location use, UL1598 and Canadian CSA Std. C22.2. IP Rating: 55

WARRANTY

Fixture is warranted for three years. Ballast components carry the ballast manufacturer’s limited warranty. Any unauthorized return, repair, replacement or modification of the Product(s) shall void this warranty. This warranty applies only to the use of the Product(s) as intended by AAL and does not cover any misapplication or misuse of said Product(s), or installation in hazardous or corrosive environments.
