Sure, she’s a little cocky and confident but that’s part of who she is. With her new album dropping

and her new number one single feat K2, her debut album is topping the charts and taking us by

storm. In an exclusive interview Jae-B told us “straight up I am an independent woman, I am self-

motivated and slightly self-centred but this is the way you have to be”. She has a new focus on

making her mark and has had a packed year as her fan base has grown rapidly. She is following in

the footsteps of Nicki Minaj and is beginning to make a change in the Hip-Hop industry. Starting a

new chapter with the support of her mentor Jiggy and Justine Dushane she feels she is taking on a

new level of work and is prepared. While an exclusive interview gives us an insight into the

simplicity of Jae-B’s life I’m focusing on her new album and how she will take a hit this year.

Jae-B is working on her up and coming debut album and is relishing the high expectations that have

come with collaborating with other stars. “I was nervous as hell…” recalls Jae-B. After wanting to

show not just the UK but the world her new ways Jae-B expressed her true feelings through the love

of music. After signing a new one year deal with Columbia Records, Jae-B released Paperwork, and

lukewarmly received #2 in the charts within the UK but hit the lowest sale mark of her career. Jae-B

tells us “It was a huge knock back for me but this is why I’ve come back with a collaboration. I feel I

need to show people a side to me which they haven’t seen yet, it’s all still me but just a little

different”. With her collab to hit the charts sometime this year she is hoping it will help rejuvenate

her, as she is certainly still capable of performing at a high level.

“I feel all this is a good kind of pressure and will only push me further, as I’ve said before I am my

own person and I am strong but everyone has feelings but you have to find a way of dealing with it

and moving forward”. Although she usually opts to not talk about the negative, she has revealed

more into her life- which to us, came as a surprise. Jae-B told us that is has been a hard start to the

year but nothing will stop her.
