ART & DESIGN DEGREE SHOW

At DMU the Faculty of Arts, Design and Humanities brings together award-winning student work, world-leading research and the innovative thinking of our many creative disciplines. As an acknowledged leader in creative education, we work tirelessly to give our students a rich and rewarding experience. Our strong industry links, placements, lectures by industry professionals and opportunities to work on live commercial briefs all equip them to realise their full potential and enter the workplace ready to make a valuable contribution from the beginning. Our graduates go on to work for high-profile brands such as the BBC, Tommy Hilfiger, Mothercare, Abercrombie & Fitch, Dyson, BMW, Next and Adidas.

Each year we recognise many student successes and experiences, here are just some of them.

Last year from the catwalk of London’s Graduate Fashion Week, Fashion Design graduate Fraser Miller, beat off competition from more than 40 other universities to win the Innovative Knitwear Award at Europe’s biggest showcase for young designers. Whilst Contour Fashion graduate Daniella Jayes won the Boux Avenue Lingerie Designer of the Year award.

I am also proud to say that our Architecture graduate, Khanh Nyugen won global recognition for his designs, which offer a new way of thinking about high-rise living.
