AfterwardIn my art 220 course at Bridgewater College we had to come up with a story from a photo that we chose. My photo was of a small little boy looking at a hanging cowboy. This gave me many ideas for taking photos and many ideas to come up with a good story. I decided to hang my roommate and have my friend be a little girl instead of a little boy because girls are more sensitive to things like this. The concept behind this idea was so that the audience would have sympathy for the homosexual that was hung and would see what people did back in the olden days to people like this. The idea be-hind this assignment was to make a story using five, seven, then nine images that you took and you could use the same images in each story. It took a lot of time to take these photos because it was hard to find a lot of people that would hold hands with a guy even for an art project. I finally found someone and we went off from there and started shooting and didn’t stop. Next we added titles and the title is very important because it tells about the story and what’s going to happen in the story. With this idea in my head, I decided to go with my gut feeling and tell a story about society right now and how people can be really cruel to others. Being a homosexual can be very tough these days because you have people telling you that you will get a disease or you will go to hell because it is against god. We should just worry about our own lives and not care what other people think but it is very hard especially when you can’t get married in your state. It is also very tough when you cannot hold your partners hand without getting stares from people all around
